Liston will be hitting the short guy far more than the other way round.
Marciano would be in reverse from the start.

I reckon he may even quit on his stool after taking a severe beating.

Someone tell me where, in my post I either said or implied that Marciano would not hit Liston at all.

Time and again Choklab is pulled up by numerous people for twisting the facts to suit.

Is there any wonder people are sick and tired of it.

If it is not trolling and meant in earnest then I dread to think what else goes on inside his head on a daily basis.

At least Gazelle Punch can let things go and be respectful. He didn't even know. That won't stop our local choke artist from harping on this point instead of getting back on topic.

That's what he does. Instead of actually taking your statement at face value he will create a straw man. Even when you clarify what you meant he'll still put words in your mouth when it suits his agenda.

I wonder if his offline career is in politics?

I refuse to converse directly with him anymore.

All those people can't be wrong about him.

To be fair, I think @choklab might be doing what a lot of us do sometimes...exaggerate a bit to make a point. I know I'm guilty of that at times as well.

I happen to like and generally greatly respect the thoughts of all the members on this page, including most certainly chok, @swagdelfadeel @Gazelle Punch and @Glass City Cobra

I have a hard time believing any of the above names could be trolls. I could be wrong.

No actually there have been none. You just did your usual and exaggerated the opposing view, then sauntered in, trying to sound like Mr Reasonable.Your MO is too well known now.

Yeah that's why people are scoffing at Choklab's laughable mention of Westphal in an argument AGAINST Liston.

Their's a fine line between exaggerating a point, and flat out lying; posting deliberately misleading things, twisting peoples arguments, creating a straw man by pretending people said stuff they didn't in an attempt to get the upper hand, and being intellectually dishonest.

Also included in Blackcloud's statement which you conveniently deleted from your Quote was "Liston will be hitting the short guy far more than the other way round." That would imply that Marciano would be hitting Liston to some degree correct? Let's not pretend you don't know this Chok.

As for the other quote, nowhere does it state or even imply that Marciano would not touch Liston.

Okay let’s get this whole Albert Westphal point out in the open. It’s not an exaggeration or a twisting of the truth or flat out lying to say even little Albert landed a few blows on Sonny before he was predictably knocked out very easily. Why should it be?

I guess you might be saying it is a flat out lie to say somebody said Rocky can’t land blows. Well does somebody actually have to say that in order for me to use the point that even little Albert hit Sonny? Is nobody allowed to do that unless somebody says “Rocky can’t hit Sonny”?

Why shouldn’t I be able to say “it’s not like Rocky can’t hit Sonny, look, even little 5’7” Albert hit Sonny a few times before he was bombed out” (which is true) in response to a lot of people defending an argument that Rocky would be very easy prey for Charles Liston. Which is also true. A lot of you are defending the argument that Sonny makes very easy work if Rocky...almost to the extent that Nobody has the right to make a case for Rocky.

yes he did. If you want me to acknowledge he believes Rocky will hit Sonny right on the chin, here’s the acknowledgment @BlackCloud ”well done”.

If you want me to respond to this Business of Sonny outlanding Marciano I can do this too. He thinks Sonny lands more times and he is entitled to it. I have no problem with it.

However, whilst I believe Sonny can land on Rocky I also believe the responding blows from Marciano will also be plentiful and harmful enough that it might effect Sonnys overall ratio somewhat. But that’s just me.

yes I know it, and I just said I knew it. What on Earth do you think you have trapped me with here?

The line I quoted was about Rocky “not getting out of reverse gear” though. How is a guy with shorter arms going to land much blows if he’s on the end of a longer armed man pushing him backwards? This is what it can mean isn’t it? And that is why I quoted it because it implies someone in reverse gear is going to land “next to nothing” doesn’t it. But I’m glad we can move on from this now.

you are correct about that. I was really asking for more clarity on Marciano hitting Sonny on the chin. And now we have examples of those of you confirming this.

Their's moving the goal posts, then their's changing the venue. (Sorry @mattdonnellon I'm borrowing this) I'm done. Absolutely disgraceful.
