This is a perfectly designed leg workout that combines strength, explosiveness, and endurance in one routine. The program includes elements of plyometrics (jump squats, explosive lunges), which help develop speed and explosive power, as well as isometric work (wall sit), which improves muscular endurance and stability. In addition, controlled movements like the RDL with a slow eccentric phase further build strength and muscle control.

This combination of exercises makes it an ideal workout for athletes who train martial arts and need explosive, strong, and durable legs for maximum performance. The balance between unilateral exercises, explosive movements, and static tension allows for complete lower-body development.

I’ve personally tried this workout, and I’m very satisfied with the results — you can really feel the muscle activation, improved strength, and a noticeable increase in explosiveness.

Explosiveness + Definition (my modified version)

    • Jump squats 4×5–6 (maximum height, 90–120 s rest)
    • RDL (Romanian deadlift) 4×8–10 (3 s eccentric/lowering)
    • Bulgarian split squats / Explosive lunges 3×8 per leg
    • Side lunges 3×12 ( 6 per leg)
    • Wall sit 2×45–60 s
    • Explosive calf raises 3×15
Rest is 90 seconds for the first exercise only, and 60 seconds for all others, including between exercises.
