I compared them both to those fighters because I see it as the technician vs offensive fighter.

This fight will take something from him, if pac just annihiates him and mayweather cant recover well all say it was agood job he didnt fight pac back in 08-09 or his career would been had an early ending

I could easily pull out another completely irrelevant fight like Rumble In The Jungle and say the boxer will weather the storm and ko the slugger.

Floyds going to win a lopsided decision. If anything, its Pacqiauo you need to worry about.

Oscar, Mosley, Whitaker, Roy Jones, Winky Wright, Hopkins off the top of my head.
Even Corrales and Castillo I wouldn't qualify as ATGs, Genaro Hernandez is though but we saw what a young, prime Oscar did to him before Floyd did, which was definitely more impressive. And yes, Pac is an ATG, and finally we get to see Floyd face off vs 1 again. Its about freaking time.

Good post Flex, Floyd's been protected for the last ten years. Now he has to fight the best fighter he's ever seen in a real fight which Al Haymon can't manipulate or finagle with a $5m bonus to go soft on Floyd. Floyd ducked this fight for five years with an endless inventory of excuses and demands, now he's been forced to do the fight by Les Moonves. We're gonna find out what Floyd is really made of this time. If he can pull this off full credit to him. But when a fighter shows fear and reluctance and openly worries about losing his health and ending up like Ali from Pacquiao (as Floyd did), his chances do not look promising.

Pac will have a awful time against Floyd's counter punching abilities ,ask JMM who beat Pac in every fight they fought.

That is just it, Floyd does have a great chance to win, but anyone writing pac off his just silly. There are so many variables that come into play with this fight. 5 years ago I said Pac would dominate Pac and make it look pretty easy, but Floyd has slowed down considerably and has never done as well vs fast fighters, especially south paw ones. Not a single outcome in this fight would surprise me all things considered. I can picture Pac getting Ko'd by one hard counter punch, but I can also picture Floyd getting nailed and put to sleep. The only thing I don't really see is Pac winning a decision and outboxing floyd for 12 rounds. He needs to get to floyd and do it early I think, before Floyd has time to really think. But with Floyd slowing down and Pac being the fastest fighter he's faced in a long time, it may not even matter if floyd does try and make adjustments.
And finally, it wouldn't shock me at all, if Pac makes quick work of floyd, it would just validate the fact floyd hasn't faced anything remotely like him and has spent the last several years beating up fighters he had massive advantages/skill over.
