Charles would take him out mid rounds.

Just the better all round fighter, on a different level to Foster. Don't get me wrong Bob is one of the Light Heavyweight greats. I just think Ezzard is one of the top 5 greatest fighters of all time.

Foster has great power in the right hand and not a bad left hook ( as seen against Dick Tiger). He doesn't IMO have the best of movement although he does have a long reach. His skinny legs always (rightly or wrongly) give me the impression that there is not a massive punch resistance if put under real pressure.

Charles is a master at slipping shots and staying in range. I feel at Light Heavy he is capable of standing up to the big shots when needed and in his left hook has one of the most brutal punches the division has seen.

I agree about Foster's punch resistance he also seems to hesitate when hit a wee bit, almost like he really hates being hit.

Foster never faced anything like the Cincinnati Cobra who would outbox and outpunch him. Foster never fared well against heavyweights and Charles did. If Foster struggled with Chris Finnegan, he gets kayoed by the man Marciano considered his toughest opponent. Ezzard Charles in five rounds.
