I still think Mosley beats Berto. A rematch with Cotto would be a huge seller since it would be labeled as a "crossroad" fight for the two of them.

He was able to wobble Floyd, which I don't remember seeing before...so he's not shot. He just couldn't get it done against a better fighter. No shame in losing to the best.

I think the only relevant thing left for him to do is, assuming Floyd really doesn't take his belt...is to unify then look for a big farewell match with Floyd or PAC...I don't see him winning either of those two....or retire as unified champion.

I think he could fight on and win but he is getting up there is years and i wouldn't mind him just cashing checks as a GBP partner at his point.

    Agree.

Just like Oscar went into the sunset after Pac starched him, so too Shane should go into retirement.

I would like to see him fight Berto then retire. Win or lose. I thought he was shot after Mayorga. The Margarito fight proved me wrong. He looked great in that fight but Margarito was taylor made for him. He is just too old and will never be the fighter he was at the turn of the century. About time to hang them up.

Or how about Shane just fights Juan Manuel Marquez instead?

I'd retire if I were him. It's not about not having the ability even at this age, to fight top tier WWs, it's about motivation after such a defeat. Even now, a motivated Shane Mosley should beat Berto. But... without motivation... he'll just look bad.

Exactly. It has nothing to do with age though that isn't something to be ignore, boxers will always give Shane problems.
