I forgot the WEC event was even happening. It did get lost in the shuffle behind Fedor's crushing KO of Arlovski, Sugar Shane's annihilation of Margarito and the upcoming mega-super-fight with GSP and Penn.

Glad to hear it was a good card. I'll have to check out the videos.

I think his legacy is already set in stone. He helped secure the legitimacy of the sub 170 classes along with Penn. That's his legacy - a tough nosed scrapper who defined a weight class and became a popular fighter.

He's got to get his belt back first... get it and rematch Brown for a third time; and fight Torres too. After that (supposing he defeats Torres and doesn't need to rematch him), he needs to move up to 155 and go to the UFC (a Torres rematch there would be a great way for both to step in). He's limited for exposure in the WEC. With his style and flare in the octagon, he can make some cash at 155.

Faber vs. Penn would get a good buzz.

It depends on whether or not he wants to make 145 "his" and dominate it again, or chase the money.

Faber trains alot with Torres that fight is unlikely to ever happen. I think highly of Miguel Torres but do not write of Brian Bowles when they fight in April hes also very dangerous and Torres will probablly get the winner of Joe Benavidez vs Jeff Curran. Im not all that sure Faber could even beat Brown in a rematch. Brown is so much bigger and stronger then what Faber is used to and that was evident when you saw Brown explosively pushing Faber to the ground, taking him down before hurting him with a left hook and hitting him with the clothesline right hand. Faber hit him with good shots and barley faced him whenever Brown got his hands on Faber the power and strength was easy to see. Id probablly favor Brown in a rematch.

I'm just playing out the best case scenario for Faber, as it pertains to his status and commercial value as the future goes.

I don't see him fighting Torres either, but if he's going to stay in the WEC for a while, that's one of the few big money fights left for him.

I think the Brown rematch would favor Brown too, but it would be interesting to see what Faber does now that he realizes he'll pay for throwing crazy **** out there in the middle of a fight just for kicks or a highlight reel KO.

Yeah he would have to fight a smart fight and I dont think he would be able to use his grappling in this fight unless Brown gets him down but even then I think hes in trouble Browns a very strong grappler. Faber best chance is to do what he was doing very early on throwing the high kick and using quick hands throwing from odd angles and confusing Brown because he doesnt know where the shots are coming from hes a quicker fighter so use that.

    Speed kills for a reason.
