Just had another look at the KO....are we 100% sure Lartey hasn’t taken a drive? Obviously, I’m not suggesting anybody else was involved, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s had some money on it himself. His reaction to the jab prior to that was odd and it looked to me like he blocked the KO right hand.
Part of me wondered if he’d been chinned in sparring and kept it on the hush. I say that cos of the reaction to the jab rather than the right hand.
Don't know for sure maybe he wasn't right prior,but the punch hit more glove than face and the way he fell looked a bit unnatural to me.
It looks as suspicious as **** to me mate. The two jabs that landed werent huge power jabs, and Lartey reacted strangely to the first one... The knock out right hand hit him on the gloves. He went down like a sack of **** from it. I am 70/30 that it was a dive. There is a chance he was knocked out cold in sparring less than 2 weeks before the fight and hasnt properely recovered. Yep. It had dive written all over it. We saw how tough as teak he was against Dubois, and now he looks like David Price on a bad day less than 18 months later? **** off.
Pretty dam good actor if it was a dive, his eyes looked like a man that was stunned and taken a hards hit and gaspinf for air heavily.
Body language and demeanour... Nothing concrete to back up that hunch in the ring yet. As he has only faced scrubs or fighters there to lay down.
