    FAMOUS PUNCHES

Some interesting headlines from "The RING" magazine:
1933: "Power In The Blink Of An Eye"
    1936: "Brown Bomber Blasted"
    1948: "The One Punch Comeback"
1957: "Ray Delivers The Perfect Punch"

We could trip through many history books and even look at
one punch knockouts in amateur boxing of the past.
From Golden Gloves action of the Sixties and Seventies:
Two of the best knockouts were scored by
WESLEY CRAVEN 1967, and GORDIE LAWSON 1975
but there were many others in the Pacific Northwest and elsewhere.

That one was truly one of the most picturesque, pretty one shot ko's I've ever seen. I can watch a replay of it over and over again.

This immediately popped into my mind.

That and Ali's phantom punch, but that goes without saying.

Not the most famous, but the left that ended Castillo-Corrales II was a thing of beauty.

Not as famous but a great ko was Mike McCallam left hook v Don Curry. Also the uppercut Buster Douglas stopped Tyson with sent shockwaves through world boxing.
