I wouldn't actually have picked Tyson Fury to clarify, I was just illustrating you can pick most of the second best per division!
I was on about it being a good idea. It's got a lot of unnecessary hate thus far. There's a prediction league as well so this could be fun and interesting. The forum has been taken way too serious recently.
The key is to make the pricing so there is incentive to try and pick out the bargains, then there is a real skill in picking out future talent. Obviously the lists would need to be expanded a bit. Like in Fantasy Football, you can pick Arshavin but then you have to compensate elsewhere. At the moment you can pick Haye and still have loads of good fighters. As a framework/idea its good though.
I still think that this was a good idea. Are people ready to be a bit more mature about it now? You still got the rules, Kos?
Gee, thanks for bumping this Losfer I deleted everything in the opening post, so I would have to set it all up again. It was basically like Mandanda's prospects thread just with a 'fantasy football' type twist to it. Was done on the fly and nothing was properly structured.
It was a good idea and it should be resurrected. By reading TFFP's post on the first page, and from memory, the general idea was you started with a pot of money which you could then spend on assembling a roster of fighters. From there, I can't remember how the scoring worked:think.
It was domestic fighters, and I put a 'value' on the fighters with a certain amount to spend where you 'bought' something like 5 fighters. I don't think I had a scoring system in place at the time.
I love these fantasy games. Brings some 10mins of excitement to my dull life thinking of teams. Don't get embarrassed mate, it's an internet forum no one cares.
Sorted then. Let this thread die and start a new one if you can remember the details and post them all in that then, Kos:good. Cowabunga:banana. EDIT: Flea, I've done that before when I've quoted people. I remember it being somthing to do with editing with CAPS or something:think. Who knows? In fact, who cares?
Nah, sometimes when you quote something it uncapitalizes everything and makes it all lower case. Don't know why.
Ha, I know that :yep I basically let the thread die due to a lack of interest (at the time) and I was running a couple of other time consuming threads at the time. If there is interest in it this time around then I will try and sort something out tomorrow :good
