Cleveland Williams (late 50 s Version) Frank Bruno (late 80s prime) Big strong , straight ahead puncher's , huge power but questionable stamina. Williams wild and fast handed, whilst Frank more upright with a solid jab and booming right hand. This fight is not going the distance!
Bruno was just better. Yeah he could gas later in fights as his mega muscles made him mega tired, but first the other guy had to taste the power. And Williams' lightbulb chin is not surviving that.
I think Frank stops him around 8 -10 rounds but I'm not putting the house on it. Williams could wack as well.
- both could punch - both showed heart - neither had an iron chin but at times took some hard shots and fought back - both were always in great shape - Williams had the better left hook but Bruno had the better jab and right cross. conclusion - I believe this would be competitive and exciting. While both men would have a chance here, I’m probably leaning towards Bruno. Neither had a stellar list of wins but you pretty much HAD to be world class to beat Frank Bruno and even then it wasn’t easy. The one exception was when an unknown Bonecrusher Smith defeated him. But Bruno was ahead against him and within about a year of losing that fight Smith was in the running for a world title. So yeah I’ll favor Frank
