Wrong I actually like Floyd I just don't get caught up in the hype like other people do.

I remember even PacDBest who is the biggest Pac hugger of all time used to say that once Pac moves up to 147 he doesn't even need to beat Floyd just be competitive with him and he will be considered in the same ranks as the SRR, Armstrong, etc. Did I agree with him, no, but look how far the goal posts have shifted now.

People are caught up in the moment, but years from now when they look back from a bird's eye view, they will see it for what it is.

    I kinda see your point.

It would be like watching a big tournament, Fighter A goes through 5 opponents and beats them all impressively to get to the final, Fighter B just gets an invite to the final and beats Fighter A. Despite Fighter A doing all the hard work, fighter B can take credit saying he beat the guy who beat all those guys therefore he doesnt need to fight those other guys.

That said, Im not that big a fanboy, this isnt so much about who's rep can be boosted more but more about just seeing the 2 best to find out how they clash in the ring.

Floyd is also great in his own right, Pac beating him will do wonders for his legacy.

That's exactly it. Heck there were many guys ready to rank him top 10 should he do the impossible and beat DLH...

Dont know if you were speaking to me, but Floyd is certainly not might boy, I can assure you of that.

I dont know, I think that might be wishful thinking, cause when push comes to shove, you can bet your life if Mayweather beats Manny, that there will be a small army of Mayweather fans come out of the woodwork proclaiming that after that win, that his resume is equal to Manny's, or that it's surpassed Manny's. I'd hazard a guess that they will try and dispute who is the greater fighter if he beats Manny, whether you think Manny has a better resume of or not, they will always, potentially, be able to throw that he beat Manny, at you, not to mention, if he gets beaten comprehensively, could be even worse.

Not only will that pocket of Mayweather fans come out the woodwork, pretty sure a comprehensive win over Manny could convert a few into Mayweather fans.

I think people will be suprised by how floyd fights pacquiao, I dont believe he will have one distinct plan. He'll pressure sometimes, back off and pot shot others, tie pacquiao up and use that forearm, set traps for pacquiao............basically frustrate the hell out of pacquiao

Believe me against floyd you will not see the normal pacquaio, he will be much more cautious because roach knows that if he sends pacquiao in their going gung ho he will not fare well:-(

You make a good case but at the same time look at what Hearns did to Duran and then go ask around who was the better fighter pound for pound in their primes Duran or Hearns, a majority will say Duran. I'm sure that at the time when Hearns destroyed Duran, you'd have been called a fool for arguing that Duran was better than Hearns.

Cause at the end of the day Floyd simply has greater status than emmanuel.

Those converts can go eat an unwashed *****.

That's why Floyd will win imo, he doesn't have to regiment himself to one fight plan, cause he's versatile, Manny isn't, and he lacks intangibles in size & reach.

I only hate *****s because of their hatred towards Pac. I couldn't care less that they nuthug Floyd. Why should I blame them for being fans of a great boxer? It's their hatred that pisses me the **** off.

I guess that would be put down to the win over Leonard, only maybe Manny lacks a signature win of that! caliber? I mean Barrera is my favourite fighter, a legend, an ATG imo, but he was not on Leonard's level imo, of coarse you might say, well neither is Mayweather, but I just get the feeling, if Manny had beaten a great fighter already, with the style of a fighter like Mayweather, that he might get crazy props, than what he might ordinarily get, you agree with something like that?
