Fat Dan says brokers having trouble moving tickets

If they make just a third of the money they thought they'd make, maybe next time they won't make us wait another 6 years.

 

It will break the PPV record. But the question is will it generate enough to justify the money being paid to Floyd and Manny? This fight could be the highest money-generating fight in boxing history and still be a failure. We'll just have to wait and see.

I figure there's enough blithering troll derailment going on around here on a daily basis, if you're going to derail a topic you bear the responsibility to at least do so in a nerdy way if you're capable.

 

I am a big boxing fan and was looking into going to the fight but the prices are crazy, a weekend trip with tickets to the fight would likely be the same cost as a trip to Europe, I would have bought tickets even if they were nosebleeds for a thousand bucks but no ticket is that low in price

 

Yeah two of my friends had already bought plane tickets and the hotel was reserved. Once we started seeing the writing on the wall, the rest of us backed out.

The two that already paid for their trip said, fooq it, they're still going, since they can't get into the fight, they'll just go the Bunny Ranch too. atsch

 

Tell Manny to give his share to the fans so they can buy tickets. He fights for his fans right?

 

This feels ominous. I'm begininng to get the feeling Floyd trying to be the man and micro managing will end disastrously for him. Everything might fail on his attempt to transition to become a promoter plus him being KO'd.

 

Sure hope so since it would be a real treat for real actual Boxing fans to be there. Looks like it will be a Lennox-Tyson situation like Fat Dan said with the brokers trying to dump all the tickets the last 2 days before the fight at a huge loss.

 

This is the exact thing I said, day 1, when they forcasted a $100 PPV. They might break records but they aren't going to shatter records because people will come together just so they won't all have to shell out a $100 bucks. And alot of other people will go to a bar and pay $20 at the door to watch the fight. I really hope all this greediness does backfire and they get nothing for their selfish sh!+.

While I agree that the ticket pricing scale was shameful and the way the tickets were distributed on the flip side the PPV is going to Shatter the record like feather fisted Glen Johnson Shattered Roy Jones Glass Jaw. It is going to do huge numbers at the PPV.

 

I'm a Vegas local so I'm just waiting for May 2nd to see if I can snag a ticket for mad cheap. If not I'll just hit up a casino and watch the fight there with some buddies.

Hopefully it blows up in their faces so some people can get a killer deal on the fight.

 

Their numbers always appeared to be vast visions of grandeur to me, fine by me with if their not, just wouldn't be surprised if that's how it turned out.
