Excellent work man. Although I wonder if jumping rope is good for you in the long run. I have had nasty shin splints for a long time, and I am pretty sure it started around the time I started to jump rope a lot. I wouldn't recommend high impact cardio exercises for heavier guys, because it generally is not good for your knees.

I agree with this...I'm about 210 lbs and get nasty shin splints when jumping rope. I try to substitute it with the stationary bike or even jogging on the spot and throwing punches.

Comments: Shaved some time off. Not bad, considering I've not been focused at all the past few weeks.

Dude, I just read your first post again. And I'm not sure that 1600 calories a day is adequate for a 250 pound guy who exercises regularly. Getting an insufficient amount of calories and nutrition might actual hinder your weight loss efforts, so be sure to pay attention to that.

Maybe I am wrong about this, so someone should feel free to correct me if that's the case. But I am 145 pounds and burn through over 3000 calories a day. I find it hard to see how an active person could sustain themselves off 2000.

Yeah I know it's very, very low. My great grandmother was once put on a diet of 1800 calories a day and she did nothing but watch murder she wrote. Which is why on the weekends, while I dont pig out, I dont really count and just basically eat like a normal person sans sweets or alcohol. I miss the beer.

I've gotten used to it really. Even when I dont care about calories, I find I simply cannot eat like I used to. Im full much faster. It also helps that my job is extremely seditary. I dont burn much sitting in a chair, glued to a pc.

Weighed in at 249 tonight. Feel good.

My best friend from the boxing club joined the navy out of high school. He wrote me a letter complaining about getting out of shape during boot camp. All the other rickies thought he was nuts.

Yeah, bootscamp is just for like fat and out of shape people who join the military to get them into some kind of shape. It shouldn't be anything to a well trained athlete.
Still funny though to acctaully hear it.

What's even funnier is when he became a corpsman he had to do the obstacle course with the marines and he outran them on the obstacle course. He said the Marine drill sergeants were mad as hell that a squid was beating them and the sergeants even became more infuriated when they made him do the whole course with a five gallon jug of water strapped to his back and he still beat them. Because he beat them so badly the sergeants made their recruits as miserable as possible.

Yeah thats the pont I'd like to be at. Where my normal fitness routine is harder than bootcamp, its just one less thing to stress about. It's only a challenge considering where I was a year ago. If I had stayed athletic all these years, it would be nothing.
