Lucky sod, must be nice to watch boxing in a nice pub, I can imagine them showing a fight round here and it all kicking off:-(

Best atmosphere fight I ever went to was Bruno/Whitherspoon, but that is topped ever so slightly by McGuigan/Pedroza, because of the result.

Has to be Moore -V- Macklin or maybe the third round of Moore -V- Jones III.

Ringside for both of them and privilaged to say I was there. Classics...

The pub is not "nice" I assure you but it's not nastey either. It's just the cheapest one in the area so full of old soaks and grumpy old men. It's sually my last port of call on a night out because there's no bouncers and they don't hassle you to finish your drink. However, if the Mrs has put some slap on, I have to take her to the nicer places first....

Recently the Carl Johanesson vs Gomez fight was fantastic for atmosphere and action. The Irish contingent were great plus half the crowd being de-da's made it very hostile and electric. The fight was a pure scrap with both boxers coming out the other side with thier head held high. Carl came through well and proved he's a great domestic fighter when his heads good.

My only live experience was seeing Joe against Mikkel, in Cardiff...but what an experience it was!

I am going to Froch v. Inkin next, in Nottingham...hope Inkin comes prepared to lay it all on the line. I want to see a fair decision.

One of the memorable moments for me was when Johnny Frankham knocked down Tony Wilson in a British light heavy title fight. Wilson's mum got in the ring and attacked Frankham with her stiletto heeled shoe.

favourite fight i attended was barry mcguigan v eusabio pedroza.

got there hours before the fight and it was a great event /party atmosphere all night and we all went home happy.

on tv when jim watt beat howard davis, big underdog/british boxing was in a slump on the world scene, and the atmosphere was rocking.

louder and better than even a ricky hatton fight.
