Because of who it is falling face first I absolutely agree. That wasn't no softened-up journeyman or even top contender getting knocked the **** out.

That was Roberto Duran falling face first, one of the greatest fighters in boxing history.

 

Exactly right, one of the greatest fighters and greatest chins, who had turned back time and been cutting a little swathe his previous 3 bouts. It was named KO of the decade.

 

Michael Nunn's one punch KO of Sumbo Kalambay was a memorable one.

 

Castro's off the ropes hail mary hook to drop John David Jackson like a sack of **** was epic beyond words.

 

Frazier's felling of Mathis is nice, particularly since it is sometimes believed Smokin' Joe was not capable of the one-punch (practical-purposes) KO over a big man in the later rounds.

BIG DEE HERE= Nino Benvenuti vs Sandro Mazzinghi, Benevenuti KOs Mazzinghi
with one right hand uppercut that levels him. Mazzinghi was never KOed except on this occasion in his whole career. He had a cast iron chin that
Benvenuti hit just right and Mazzinghi wasn`t any chump but a great fighter.
It`s on film and it`s very impressive.

That Weaver shot is why boxing is the best sport; if that was a baseball game the score would've been like 8-2 and the best thing you can do offensively is hit a homerun. In boxing, you can win the event in 1 second, no matter what preceeded it. And Mike Weaver won the heavyweight championship of the world in the other guy's backyard. Incredible and that punch ruined a good fighter in John Tate.

 

Yup. Love those two, always will. Something extra captivating about Foster's knockouts, I love the Rondon one as well (three punches, but they still fractured Rondon's skull).

Liston-Westphal is one of the most powerful knockouts I've seen. Not a head spinner or anything like that, just sheer thudding power; Westphal's head buried itself in between his shoulders.

 

If I was going stricly on how spectacular the knock was on the eye, then Lewis-Raham II.
