Switch Pacquiao with McGovern and you've got a decent top ten.

I was going to include something like this in my write-up, actually.

Pacquiao got fewer votes than anyone in the top 14, but he finished comfortably in 9th.

For someone with so few fights in the weight class, think this is interesting.

Also worth noting, I think, is the fact that Pacquiao is now only the 2nd active fighter to land a top ten spot in any division, with Hopkins being the other having finished 5th in the middleweight survey.

Griffo appears to have bested Dixxon twice, Gans twice, McAuliffe once, Murphy many times, Lavigne all off the top of my head. Some of those were officially draws but Griffo certainly was the superior fighter in those. The McAuliffe fight Griffo won despite it being the first ever, "Maxie Moore", in other words a robbery, Griffo was far superior and it was Jack's last ever fight and they wanted to protect his unbeaten record. Jack struggled to land a shot but did floor Griffo for a short visit. Griffo dropped McAuliffe in the 6th, now for a proper rundown it will take a visit to Cyber. I am surprised you have to ask, or are you just stirring ??????????????, Griffo was pretty washed up from 1897 onwards.
He beat Young Peter Jackson, he beat Ike Weir, now most of these saw draw on boxrec, thats because if there was no KO then they are automatically a draw.... well Greb fans always complain that he won the second fight but if they wanna claim any of the above fights are draws then Greb lost 4 bouts against Tunney plain and simple, difference being that Griffo won even bigger, you have to read the reports to get the truth, Griffo was undefeated for his first 168 fights, name anyone who did that (and the 168th was the McAuliffe fiasco.

One of the Gans fights was a fake.

Lavigne was robbed in one fight

    Chicago Tribune, February 11, 1894:
"'Young' Griffo had a close call from defeat at the Lake Front armory last night in his eight round go with George Lavigne."
"Lavigne's showing was a revelation even to his friends, and while George Siler, the referee, properly decided the affair a draw, as there was not enough advantage on either side to merit a decision if one had been given, Lavigne must have won. Griffo's admirers may take exceptions to this statement, but if they closely sum up the result of the fight they can hardly do so with justice."

Griffo was 133lbs for the McCauliffe fight.

"Dixon and Griffo entered the ring at 10:25 o'clock, and the 'feather' looked well, but was twenty pounds heavier than Dixon"

I ask again, what are Griffo's best wins at featherweight?
