Mir is hardly a far from top level fighter. He's a legitimate great in his own right.

Yeah, I'm thinking that anyone connects with Fedor and its lights out. Shame man that hes still going. Putin also phoned him and asked him to stay away from the game I read a couple of fights back. Everyone wants him to call it a day

It's a good 10-15 years too late, but the style clash always intrigued me in this one.

Do not put it past Mir to get a sub. It's only Barnett & Werdum I'd match evenly with Frank's MMA ground game. He's a killer.

Hopefully Fedor can get the KO. But I'd be happy if he retired. He's done now.

He's the RJJ of MMA now :-(

But he will ALWAYS be the baddest man on the planet for me.

Fedor doing his best to sullen his legacy. Must be bored at home so instead of getting another divorce he is using fighting as an excuse to get away.

I love Fedor. And Mir would be humiliated by Prime Fedor.

Instead we have two guys wayyyyy past their primes. Interestingly, Mir, although past his prime at the end of his UFC career, was actually doing the best striking of his career.

Fedor toward the end of his career suddenly decided his whole game is just to come out winging punches.

So now we have the formula that two HWs (a big one in Mir and a small one in Fedor) are going to just trade punches until one of them drops. And lately Fedor is extremely chinny.

Mir TKOs him in the first round....possibly the first minute.

I feel like this fight is suppose to happen every weekend in April then I check and it's for the next week lol (must be dyslexia).

Damn Fedor is the underdog here in betting. Fedor fans must be anxious AF

We've resigned ourselves that Fedor is beyond shot and that he's probably going to lose. So no anxiety issues. Post fight sorrow-drowning beer is already lined up.

Surprised how close the odds for this one are. Fedor is shot to absolute bits.

Much of his legacy is built on being a consistent contender and picking up wins over faded guys like Cro Cop and Nog who would have made easy work of him in their prime. Outside of that it's Sylvia, Kongo, Nelson and probably a green Lesnar as his best wins. He's a good fighter but he was never truly #1 or #2 or arguably even a top 5 HW. He's probably somewhere around 10-15 mark all time.

All of that points to him being a legitimate great.
