Sylvia's striking is horrible, it literally is just reach and size and he does have decent timing and decent grappling defence, which all in all makes him hard to defeat yes.

But his striking form is as sloppy as it gets mate, he's horrible to watch.

There certainly is no W without them stepping in the ring but Fedor has way too much for Sylvia.

yes, it looks horrible...and his punches are basically pokes but he uses his reach and uses his "pokes" effecetivly is what I meant.

Yes, he uses his size, strength and decent timing effectively, but I wouldn't really call him a 'good striker' even if he is effective.

If GSP is a 'great striker', along with guys like Uriah Faber, who throw crisp, powerful and precise blows, then a level down for the word 'good' would be some sloppier types with good timing like Liddell.

Sylvia also has some power behind those sloppy strikes due to levarage.

I don't have anything against, all around he's an effective fighter and hard to beat, but his size is his biggest strength, also his workrate and solid takedown defence.

I wish he would just tighten up a bit, imagine if he actually turned into a more precise striker with proper form, he'd be killing guys in there.

Thats 1 fight, I just watched it 5 minutes ago. It's ancient history from 2002 and doesn't even have much bearing on what we're talking about anyway.
And Barnett did not 'destroy' Couture like Polymath falsely claims. Barnett was behind and getting beaten down against the cage until he got a sweep and turned it around.
