Fedor is gonna rush him, throw a looping right hand, clinch low and toss him on the ground quickly. Bank on that.
Hey lets not go down that road right now. Hes fighting a top 6-7 Heavyweight and former World Champ with some credible wins over Ricco,Vera,Monson,Arlovski.
Aight, Sylvia has just risen in my eyes a lot(relatively speaking). Now he has to walk the walk. Ive come to a crossroads in my career where Ive fought all the best guys in the UFC. Theres a handful of guys outside the UFC that I really want to fight and I dont think the UFCs going to get some of them. Some of them are a little too high priced for the UFC to get. So I just think this is the best avenue for me right now. In regards to a fight with Emelianenko, Sylvia said upon his signing with Adrenaline, I have the utmost respect for that guy. Hes ranked No. 1 in the world. I want to challenge myself, and I want to fight him. No doubt in my mind. Its the best fight out there for the both of us right now. You know he hasnt fought any No. 1 contenders in a while and I think he needs to be tested and I want to be tested. I think its a great fight for me, its a great fight for him, and I think we need to make that fight happen.
I like Tim Sylvia's attitude, saying he wants to fight the best guy he can (the best Heavyweight in the world, though he hasn't fought a credible Heavyweight in years, because no, Lindland doesn't count). I've got to pick Fedor; better striker, cardio, chin, groundwork. But it should be a good fight. UFC's getting some competition now!
Good questions considering the only time I remember Fedor hurt by a punch was vs Fujita and ive seen Sylvia dropped hard twice by Arlovski and Randy Couture who never dropped anyone.
I don't think Tim has a chance. I think it would be nice because I am mopre familiar with Tim because UFC is so mainstream. He isn't exactly a wizard with his groundgame so if the fight ends up on the ground Fedor would have a major advantage. Otherwise Tim may stand a chance who knows.
Sylvia was rocked from the first good shot Couture hit him with, and Randy is not a primer striker. Fedor's chin is granite, he has proven that over and over.
Well i wouldnt say its granite as Fujita hurt him quite badly and had him stumbling around the ring drunk. I think its his demeanour and calmness under pressure that really sets him apart. His never flustered and always knows what to do and how to react.
