Fedor has a great chin - AA caught him pretty good one time and I remember he took that huge on the money head kick from that one guy in Pride a few years back....

I'm sure Freddie's glad he invested all that advice.

"When you hurt him with a kick, just jump straight at him with your hands at your hips. Yeah!" :-(

does anyone else feel if Arlovski had stuck to just using his hands, he would have won?

Arlovski kills himself every time out. He had it all figured out. Fedor had no answer for Arlovski's standup, and Andre showed that he could keep it standing if he wanted to. WHY THE HELL WOULD HE TRY THAT FLYING KNEE? **** the highlight reel. When you are fight Fedor, stick with what is working.

No doubt... Fedor's composure is his biggest asset. However, that was much more than just a "little" mistake.

The thing is, that's it for AA regarding Fedor in terms of rematches imo. Now that both fighters know Fedor can end it with one punch, AA would go into his timid shell as seen in the 3rd Sylvia fight and Werdum fight and Fedor would beast him even faster.

Arlovski did very well, even better than I thought. He could avoid a takedown, which is very hard against Fedor and was dominating him in the standing game. Without that right hand he would have chances to win this fight if he could continue like that. At the end I think Fedor would take him down sooner or later and GnP him or submit him, but Arlovski had his chances...

Fedor said it himself, he doesn't come out with a gameplan.
    My analysis:
Fedor saw that his fencing-like boxing wasn't throwing Arlovski's polished boxing. He started backpeddling a little more to open up Arlovski a little bit more. I think it's most obvious when a kick landed(very end) on Fedors stomach with he backed up as if it hurt him. Arlovski made a mistake, Fedor capitalized. Even before the fight he said that he just goes out there and looks for mistakes.
I lost my voice yelling after Fedor won. All the built up tension just bursts out when Fedor wins. Same thing happened vs Sylvia.
