This would be a fairly predictable fight. Taylor outboxes him early, probably even drops him with a right. Trinidad's relentlessness and power comes on in the second half of the fight and he stops Taylor, coming from behind on points.
Tito wasn’t in the same ballpark for durability and physical strength. Keep in mind that Taylor dropped Pavlik and Froch.
He was stopped 1 once in 45 pro fights from 140 to 170lbs but his durability wasn't up to par? OK thanks for sharing that. His only stoppage loss was to Hopkins who stopped him on accumulation in the 12th round. When you honestly look at Taylor, HBO agenda aside David Reid was a much better boxer. More talented, better puncher etc. Taylor came along at the right time and still hardly impressed anyone. Sorta like the Michael Grant of middleweight. Then again if Grant were boxing today you would demand a statue be built for him.
Tito’s record against guys who were the size of Taylor is 0-2 with one stoppage loss. Funny how that works.
Trinidad altough questionable at MW would be a live dog. Taylor really was a product of the HBO hype machine.
Taylor starts off good, wins early rounds and drops Tito in the 4th or 5th. Tito comes back, slams a couple of debilitating nut shots on Taylor and takes all the fight out of him and ko's him late
