i dont think its that far off mate, i heard they were working on a series like they do in the uk, i forget what its called but its all in one night 4 rounders if he comes back im guessing it would be for that...
and on the story of green i think he looked good with fenech because lets admit it green wasnt going to outbox any of the top fighters, he needed someone that sends a rocket up him and could get the best out of him and really work to his strength of pressure mixed with decent speed and power, with a great chin is what made him what he is...
i dont think fenech is the greatest trainer in the world but hes not the worst, he pushes his fighters and has them 100 percent fit...
look at what he did with the hussein boys, greeny, nader and geale, i dont think any of them have looked better since they left him... but he only suits certain styles...
and to weigh into the green and mundine debate, green only made his money because of mundine.. and to debate into the briggs vs green, briggs was a real world class light heavy and fought very well there and had 2 absolute wars with adamek personally if green fights adamek them 2 times its no where near as close...

I agree with what most have said in this thread. Prime for prime at 175, Briggs would beat Green imo. Funny how things happen, Briggs is considered the better fighter by most yet Green probably earned more $$$$ than Briggs. Green should really be sending Mundine a nice christmas card each year imo.
Brigg's is a extremely good commentator aswell imo. His intelligent comments during a fight give the viewer a good insight into the tactics of the bout. In comparison Jeff Fenech's commentary appears to be that of a clown from the local pub.

i wouldnt know having not seen briggs fight lately at all is a worry or his ilness but id say briggsy - if he was confident that hes past his illness and at 90 percent i think he has green covered and plus he was one of my fav fighters so i would go with him... i reckon it would be close now though...
in his prime a big points win possible stoppage win to briggs...
what about you? whats you think would happen?

I've said for a while Green stayed at SMW for too long. He should have been LHW maybe 5-6 years ago.

do u know how much was made in the choc green fight???
do u know how much more it was than any of chocs other fights?
they do not even come close to the choc green fight, therefore im perplexed as to why u all keep dsaying green should thank choc. choc wouldnta made the serious loot WITHOUT GREEN.
is choc offering nader or tayler or soliman 5 million? no. work it out, oh sorry, green needs mundine.
green knocked briggs out in the gym with 16 ounces and headgear on.
green would be the 3rd highest earning fighter in the history of the sport in our country, behind choc then kostya, sadly briggs's biggest earn was the rematch with adamek where 200k us was close to the figure, before paying everyones whack.
green would earn more from the crowd at his fights in perth against a spastic before he even started counting his pay per view sales!
green is a two time two weight division world champion, its in the history books.
the general public wouldnt know what briggs looked like .
some good points were made and some ridiculous points were made.

IMO he matches up very well with alot of these fighters mentioned

Pavlik - I think he can beat Pavlik
Abraham - I think he can beat AA
Kessler - I think he can be more than competitive with Kessler
Calzaghe - Joe toys with him
Hopkins - Hopkins way too crafty
Dawson - Dawson has the ability to win easy
Taylor - A good fight, Danny has the ability to make this a tough fight for Jermaine who can be get lazy
Bute - I think this is a good fight, but i think Dannys best with his pressure could be trouble for Bute.
Andrade - Havnt seen much from him
Andre Ward - Havnt seen much from him
Andre Dirrell - havnt seen much from him
    Carl Froch - Danny Wins
Zsolt Erdei - Havnt seen much from him.
Lacy - I think Danny has the better skills and can get a win comfortably on the cards in a tough fight.

Like you said Danny has Solid fundamentals. Good chin. Good power. Decent handspeed but most of all he had great toughness and determination (these 2 factors is why i rate him higher than most other ppl do)

You're one hissy messed up pickle, I'll give you that.

If Green wasn't around, Mundine would still have millions of dollars and would have made what he made against Green in 3 or 4 other fights more likely.
However, if Mundine wasn't around how much do you think Green would have made? He got 35K for his first fight with Beyer didn't he? He probably would have got a fair bit more for the rematch, but aside from that, he'd be worse off than Briggs.

Your inability to hold Green to a normal standard is sickening to say the least.
