Vargas wide. Canelo isn't no Trinidad or Oscar.

I think it would be a close fight, with Vargas probably deserving the nod.

But cmonnnnn now, we allllll know the Juicing Ginger doesnt lose close fights.

Vargas would lose 11-1 on the cards.

Vargas does enough to convincingly beat Canelo only to lose on the scorecards by a wide margin.

It's easy to say Vargas, he would definitely be a handfull for Canelo, but Vargas was pretty capable of getting knocked out by top fighters.
I think chin for chin there is no comparison, and I think that would be the difference in the fight

I think most of the boxing public is fully aware of the Cheat that is Canelo! But, if this bout were to take place on a totally even playing field. No juicing, no fixed judging, no weight clauses that affect one but not the other, no ref rigging showing obvious bias between the fighters, you know all the things that come with fighting Canelo lately! I'd give the nod just every so slightly to Vargas!

Vargas was one of the worst juicers I can remember, and yes he got caught. Canelo hasn't tested positive for a steroid. Know your history.

Canelo is better than Vargas ever was. Vargas had stamina issues and waved his chin in the air. Canelo could take a close decision or get a late tko. No rose tinting here.

Canelo by a country mile. More skilled, more disciplined, better punch arsenal, more strong mentally.

    This one isn't even close.

Yeah as much as I'd like to say Vargas wins, I have to say Canelo is too strong, too durable, too good a chin, too undeterrable (not even a real word, but sounds good)..

Vargas looks good early on, but as it becomes more obvious he isn't denting Alvarez, the more Alvarez takes control.

I don't see a stoppage, although if there is one, it'll be Vargas who gets stopped.

    Canelo via comfortable legitimate decision.

Canelo knocks that bum out. Vargas chin was non existant. Vargas chin stopped him from being an all time great. A Mexican boxer with no chin. Crazy.
