Bakole is stuck in Congo and can’t train due to visa issues apparently. This would not have been fight camp as purses would have been close to a million quid. Likely wanted it on the August US card or undercard of AJ
He has been training in the Congo, don't understand why they'd give up the chance to be mandatory for the IBF it'll be along time before they're offered something like that again. They surely would've been able to take the fight if it was set for September/October
Apparently @billy nelson and Bakole wanted a warm up first but with it being an eliminator the governing body wouldn’t allow it.
Agreed to the fight initially for August, then asked for it to be September and then asked to have a warm up fight in between.
He can’t get out of the Congo currently and the training facilities there is like training for the biggest fight of your career with an arm tied behind your back. guys a professional boxer without his coach or training facilities. If he wins a couple more fights he’d be mando soon enough. Ok at bogdan dinu for crying out loud.
Realistically Benn Granados should be 3rd fight on the card, with Xu Wood as chief support to Billam-Smith McCarthy, which is a fantastic fight.
Anyone who watches this utter shire needs there head looking at. But I suppose that means millions will watch it because going by the flu season of 2020 and 2021 millions in the UK are a lost cause
The belt issue is a farce I used to laugh at kickboxing where every town in UK had a world championship now boxing is following suit. Even at £1.99 a month for DAZN the first few fight camps do not generate my interest. I like the Buasti fight and after fight camp the Warrington return could be interesting but my opinion is Eddie needs to rethink his content! Then again maybe his market is not aimed at boxing enthusiasts but Instagram followers? He seems a bit lacking in his US content as well with PBC and Top Rank having more attractive shows
Yeah he has. Cant see how he can withdraw from a vacant british title fight against English champ to then being mandatory for the European Title. Crazy. Good luck to wood. Big step up but can't fault him for taking the the opportunity.
Thanks for the update TBC-ASAP I have strict policy of not watching or mentioning that female supposed boxer as it feeds the media machine that Hearns stole from PT Barnum who believed that the only bad publicly was no publicly. Much of the narrative Matchroom use to sell their pap relies on generating a so called story and if the hero(ine) is somewhat controversial so much the better.
