Alright, I admit it, I may have got this a little bit wrong. In my defense, I was sleep deprived (couldn't even remember which round it was that Fletcher nearly went down) and while Fletcher was throwing more punches than Green, Green was landing bombs. Anyway, that's moot as Fletcher took out Green conclusively. Tell you what, I'll go back and rewatch the Fletcher-Green bout to reappraise... if you post your scorecard! Deal?

Still, I 100% stand by my comments about Hagler beating Fletcher. There's no way Frank could have lived with Marvin. And good luck trying to let Hagler punch himself out!

Some wonderful picks this week George! Until the next series is up I think I'm gonna go back and start from the beginning of the series.

Yep, I score fights as a hobby anyway and had already done Pryor/Arguello I, Mancini/Kim, Gomez/Pintor & Sanchez/Nelson in the last week prior to being tagged for this thread. So Fletcher/Green & Navarrete/Choi were the only 2 I really needed to do.

    Frank Fletcher vs James Green

Rd - Fletcher vs Green (Total)
    1. 9 : 10 (9-10)
    2. 9 : 10 (18-20)
    3. 9 : 10 (27-30)
    4. 10 : 9 (37-39)
    5. 10 : 9 (47-48)

Fletcher wins by 6th round TKO

Fletcher's game plan worked a treat, after the third he took over imo
Loved this fight, brilliant. I'd like to know more about these 2, can anyone here (@The Morlocks?) tell me some more entertaining fights from either?

well we got the same score and only saw 3-4 scored opposite and I marked them both as very close rounds so I can see the difference as fair.

Here's another one of my favorite 1980's fights I scored in the "CST80's random scorecards depot for modern & classic fights" Hope you enjoy.

"The Italian Stallion" Rocky Balboa vs Ivan Drago (December 25, 1985) (15 Rounds Heavyweights)

Round 1: 10-8 Drago (Rocky see's 3 of them out there, needs to hit the one in the middle)
Round 2: 10-9 Balboa (close, Rocky finished strong, cutting the Russian, he's not a machine, he's a man)
Round 3: 10-9 Drago (Big round for Ivan, he tee's off on Balboa for most of the round)
Round 4: 10-9 Drago (Another big round for Drago, lifts Rocky in the air with some of his shots)
Round 5: 10-8 Drago (Rocky's giving his all, but Drago's smashing him, scores another knockdown)
Round 6: 10-9 Balboa (Come's back amazingly strong and batter's Ivan's body to take the round)
Round 7: 10-9 Drago (Another big round for Ivan, knocking him around the ring)
Round 8: 10-9 Balboa (Rocky battles back punishing the Russian's body again)
Round 9: 10-8 Drago (Rocky has his moments, but Ivan scores another knockdown taking the round)
Round 10: 10-10 Evan (Back and fourth round to close to call)
Round 11: 10-9 Drago (Another round controlled by Ivan)
Round 12: 10-8 Drago (Ivan scores another knockdown, but the Russian fans are starting to cheer Balboa)
Round 13: 10-9 Balboa (Trading bombs, Rocky gets the edge)
Round 14: 10-9 Balboa (Rocky throws everything at Drago, Balboa's round)
    Round 15: KO

    My Score: 135-128 Drago (ATOS)

    Official Scores: (N/A)
Winner: By 15th round Knockout, "The Italian Stallion" Rocky Balboa.

What a win against all odds for Balboa! Needing a knockout to win so far down on the cards Rocky digs way down deep and finds a way to drop the towering Russian for the 10 count.

surprised that you had Kim sweeping the first four although I did find it close. But really surprised you had Mancini in 7-8

If you go back a few years I used too use that thread also. Over the years I just would score on EOTR until I found CST's scorecard depot thread.

    Pryor vs Arguello I

    1 Pryor
    2 Pryor
    3 Arguello
    4 Pryor
    5 Pryor
    6 Pryor
    7 Pryor
    8 Arguello
    9 Arguello
    10 Pryor
    11 Arguello
    12 Pryor
    13 Arguello
    Pryor 125-122
The judges scored a lot of even rounds and that is certainly justifiable 2 x 4 and the 3rd 5 even.
