Like I said before, if aggression was a primary reason why a fighter should get the nod when they don't get hurt by what's coming back at them, then:

    - DLH would have been considered to easily beat PBF.
    &
    - Cotto would have been considerably down on the score cards against Margarito before the KO !

Putting pressure has become too important a criteria for most, including judges, that are rarely now students of the game first of all, as well as fans craving for action. Putting pressure becomes more important only when you can land something or at least when your opponent isn't landing himself.

I totally understand that its more interesting for most to see Gatti-Ward type fights but boxing is a sweet science first and foremost, hit and not get hit.

Dirrell did it the ugly way but he won at the sweet science game...

    Thats the only way.
The only thing wrong is that you were watching a different fight.

No, it's the stupidest way possible.

So a fighter can thrash another guy for 11 rounds, 2.5 minutes. But if the other guy comes on strong in the last 30 seconds and is dominating he wins? Cause he was the boss at the end of the fight?

    ****ing moron.

Go back to watching monster trucks you mouth-breathing redneck.

People here actually know about this thing called "boxing". Clearly you know **** all about it, and don't even like it. Cause boxing isn't about whatever the **** moronic **** you want it to be. It is what it is, and it isn't changing how it is scored just cause a ****wit like you think it should.

And if you are so hell bent on thinking it should be scored differently then you don't even like the sport. As said, **** off and watch something else then instead of acting like a *****.

Rodney Just stop. You said some stupid stuff you probably didn't mean and now you sound stupid trying to defend it. It's round by round not something stupid like who's the boss at the end LOL. Dam that funny. If we go by who was the boss then dirrell was the boss at the end of the night.

Punch stats are not reliable to me most of the time and i feel that some of those guys hitting the button can't tell what punches land. This fight there was no doubt that froch only landed 4 clean POWER PUNCHES on dirrell's head. He landed his jab here and there but dirrell's head hardly moved when he did land it. The punches dirrell landed were blatant, headsnapping straights and hooks.

And FARMBOXER you are the worst poster and froch slobber on the board. You know **** about boxing. Your just a dumb ass blind follower. I have never seen any of your post that were remotely close to intelligent. Just superficial bull**** with points that are easily killed.

I was pulling for Froch, but I couldn't find any way to give him the fight.

People have a real revisionist view of Dirrell's performance. He ran, he ducked below the belt constantly, he clinched excessivly, he even turned his back on Froch a couple of times and complained a lot to the ref.

Yes Froch hit Dirrell on the back of the head, but most of the time it was when Dirrell was already in the process of ducking below the belt or clinching.

If Dirrell did not want to get hit in the back of the head he could have stopped the illegal tactics (which got him a point deduced) that were exposing the back of his head to Froch.

But he froze and let the occasion get to him. I think he might be too metally weak to be a champion.

thanks.but the fact that Dirrell was dropping on his knees begging for mercy remains.some of those who were really close to the ring can even tell you they heard him say "i''ll suck your dick man, don't hurt me" while he was on his knees, but i don't know if it's truth.could be though.....

Had Dirrell winning at the time, he only has himself to blame with such negative tactics.
