How is this impressive? I knew it had to be one of those wannabe tough guys that MMA is full of. Any strong guy who braces for body shots can absorb body punches from a nobody if you only punch the abs/core. The moment a good punch is aimed at the ribs or liver, that's when he will fold like a lawn chair.
It's far more difficult to brace yourself when you don't see it coming... Ali survived the hardest body shots I've seen in history.
Some of the guys at the Watanabe Gym play a game where they stand head to head and see who lasts longest whilst they ping each other with body shots. Kyoguchi and Taniguchi have put up a few videos of them doing it...rather fun to see
what do you mean by "wannabe tough guys that MMA is full of?". they are much more versatile fighters.
Haha, exactly what I was seeing. Though I am sure this is decent training for toughing up the body for the real thing.
It doesn't mean nobody just because noname? If you had been offered to fight with "nobody" in BJJ in blue belt division, this automatically meant that he is noob? Just because noname? Hobbyist with previous background in striking arts, some " bum nobody " might break floating ribs, massage liver and handle out nice solar plexus shots. Comparision level: If you will have in BJJ a blue belt, better google up him and do not follow flowchart : nobody = bum. Maybe he is nidan in judo that had competed when was 14-26 years old and was even Oly eliglible "bum". Vs another now hobbyist blue belt. It does look funny.
You wouldn't be able to take many of those "arm" punches. And they look way more powerful than the jab Charlo pushed out.
Boy shots that hurt aren’t seen and are generally around the corner to the back of the rib cage / liver ain’t no stomach muscles there what this guy is doing is not impressive he’s just tensing his abs and getting punched there
