    Segura is a good shout out too. I already name dropped Ramon Gonzalez as someone worthy of consideration. The more I think about it, the more I like Orlando Salido as a dark horse candidate. A victory over the favored JuanMa, and two successful defenses (should he win in Dec) makes him a pretty good candidate for the award, imo.

    Salido was my candidate if his match in Dec was against JuanMa and he somehow took it

    the winner of ward-froch may take it but personally i think wlad and vitali should split the award for this year.

    Marquez for beating pac at a weight he doesnt not belong or Arce for winning 2 titles this year in two diffrent weight divisions

    C'mon people, be serious. JMM is not a fit choice for Fighter of the Year. Thinking about it now, it's a really crappy year for that award. I'm thinking the front runners are Donaire and Amir Khan should he beat Peterson. Comeback fighter goes to Kirkland or Arce. Trainer of the year I'd give to Robert Garcia.
