Forgot to add Eubank/Benn Witter/Hatton (I lowkey always wanted to see this fight) Cotto/Margarito Duran/Leonard Vargas/Bradley It doesnt seem like Khan and Brook seem to like each other
Yeah because he LEGITIMATELY kicked his butt in Fight 1 & was about to repeat in Fight2 till Cotto's doc buddy stopped the fight to save Cotto quitting AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL perhaps add to that small list a few refs and judges although that might not be love, but just doing what they are paid to do
I'm surprised that no one mentioned Ali and Frazier, split one and one during the first two fights, they had the toughest fights of their lives in Manila, so tough that both of them quit on the last round and Ali won because Frazier's corner threw the towel first, after that kind of fights you would expect some kind of Gatti vs Ward love, but Frazier kept hating on Ali because of the way he promoted the fight of the century, fair point to Joe, Ali went too far with his comments but he made clear that he just wanted to sell the fight, Frazier claimed that the fight would sell for himself, two undefeated heavyweight world and olympic champions in their primes, if you add the fact that Frazier tried to help Ali when he couldn't box, he does have a fair point, anyways, years after the fight, Frazier claimed that Ali deserved his parkinson desease and he even tried to fight an Ali already affected by Parkinson during the making of Champions Forever, a documentary, it's being said that George Foreman and Larry Holmes had to protect Ali after Frazier tried to get close to him, drunk.
Not before and immediately after their first fight. If I recall correctly, Cotto showed his usual sportsmanship congratulating Margacheato after his "win".
Read the Best I've Faced colums in Ring Magazine, you would find a lot of bitter fighters. Bute against Froch. Toney against Jones. And you can add Paul Gonzales, olympic champion in 1984 who hated on Oscar Dela Hoya when he became a star, Gonzales was also from East L.A, also won gold, fought similar to Oscar (both based their style in Alexis Arguello), trained at the same gym during some time, but Gonzales was jelous of Oscar and thought that he deserved what Oscar had.
There were rumours/gossip/allegations that Mrs. Khan was getting the high hard one from Joshua (although AJ himself denies it) - there were multiple threads up earlier but they seem to have been deleted.
I thought it was really sad seeing the hatred Frazier still carried towards Ali, which was evident in that documentary. If I remember correctly, his voicemail to that day was him boasting about putting Ali in the condition he was. Morales and MAB seemed to have mended fences a little from what I gather but that animosity lasted a long time.
