It is said Tyson carried Tyrell Biggs to inflict extra damage and he did, Muhammad Ali carried opponents to take fights to decisions because he wasn't as aggressive post exile, at least not in his not so big fights. Jack Johnson did in order to make the fight longer and give value for money, and some say Ray Robinson did rather than lay down as a way to play ball with the mob.

Can anyone point out any other case where boxers carried there opponents? Any reason why will suffice, just interested in knowing.

There is some evidence that Jim Jeffries did it.

    Sam Langford did it.

Ali did it all his career, can remember interviews saying that he didn't want to hurt nobody.

He didn't want to hurt anybody? Consider how sadistic he was in the Terrell and first Patterson fight.

What was sadistic about those fights? He beat them, he didn't kill them.

Larry Holmes carried Gerry ****ey, to a degree, in their fight.
