Roy Jones against Mike McCallum. Jones even paid McCallum out of his own purse. Jones always seemed a pretty decent guy.

Really?? Where'd you hear that? Looked to me like Marciano was hammering him like a lump of beef - just about the most one-sided shellacking I seen in any title fight ever outside of Dempsey Willard? If that's true that'ss the most brutal carrying I ever seen?

I don't know about Terrell who just tried to survive, but he could have stopped Patterson in the first three rounds and beat him up for 12 straight.

Larry Holmes carried Ali as long as he could.

Sugar Ray carried guys during his prime years. He was so dominating it was necessary. Charlie Fusari being one.

Kill them has nothing to do with it. He carried them in order to torment them, an arrogant bully to the core. It's amazing that people really believe the silly Ali Myth.

I don't think he "carried" Gerry. He could of forced the issue when he dropped Gerry in round two but why risk it against a dangerous puncher. Larry knew Gerry was never deep in a fight, it was his game plan to drown him late.

Roy Jones carried Mike McCallum. I watched that fight and it seemed like sparring on Jones part.

Rocky barely did anything till he let loose in the last two rounds. He had to put on a show for the paying punter. At least thats what I read.

He also carried Starza but for a different reason. As you know Starza was broadcasting it all over town that he beat Rock and Rock was so mad he prolonged his beating. Even helped him stay on his feet at one stage.
