I don't think he "carried" Gerry. He could of forced the issue when he dropped Gerry in round two but why risk it against a dangerous puncher. Larry knew Gerry was never deep in a fight, it was his game plan to drown him late.
Rocky barely did anything till he let loose in the last two rounds. He had to put on a show for the paying punter. At least thats what I read. He also carried Starza but for a different reason.
