Thank god your opinion means nothing then. The WBU? and the IBO and the IBF and the WBA in 2 weight divisions and the ring belt and he was the ring magazine fighter of the year for 2005.
calzaghe.. remeber when he was defending his titles against nobodies.. back then no1 expected him to unify the titles and pack out a 50,000 crowd arena
against an old inactive once ktfo'd kt at 3am in ur hometown with the assistance of a hometown ref and an extremely flagrant low blow? kt was past it at the point hatton beat him. lineal doesn't mean **** when the guy wasn't defending his title and was able to sit on them for more than a year because of 'injuries.' hatton wasn't the best at 140 imo. when he stepped up he got beat, just as i expected. correct me if i'm wrong...but the title of the thread is... "fighters who made it further then expected..." and i'm the one lacking intelligence? ok
ibo...never heard of it. i thought collazo beat him...but that's just me. again...when he stepped up in comp he got served. i knew he'd lose to floyd. i knew he'd lose to pac. i called the round on that one. i guess u guys had lower expectations of him?
Prime Example - Amir Khan even I thought he would never be able to become a world champion after getting KTFO by Prescott.
Your just making a fool of yourself now. Both Floyd and Pac were p4p#1 at the time he fought them. Both fmj and pac were the betting favourites. Hatton may have got tko'd against fmj but he gave him a tougher fight than Mosley or JMM. Hatton was pretty clearly well over the hill by the time he came up against prime pacman. Still an impressive ko though.
