This one just refuses to die. I recently came across a whole serious video about it on youtube. This content is protected
No less an authority than Boston Tom McMustache himself (the one born in Texas who was from Philadelphia by way of the Philippines) was there that very day and says it never happened. It’s in his unpublished diary, which I purchased on eBay. I consider the matter settled.
No you got it wrong! He is extremely real, but look closely at the exotic, Star Trek-like name & you will see the overt hint of who he was. From another Galaxy entirely.
And so was Clay-until they unveiled Clay 2.0, also known as Muhammad Ali. They had ingenuously developed the least robotic looking model, working with the CIA to develop a unique algorithm for unpredictable, fluid movements paired with the highest possible reaction times. In order to throw off any suspicions, they had "Ali" put on the theater of opposing the government & induction into the army. Anyway it was necessary, since his programming did not lend itself to military combat, + they could not risk losing their investment.
Greb I can work through…with therapy. He never left me any gifts or money as a kid. Just yearnings for film that hasn’t turned up.
At least the Easter Bunny hasn’t been flushed down the toilet of myths……don’t anyone dare! Besides, Santa and the Toothy Fairy still haven’t quite made it through my mental s bend. If another icon is vaporised too soon I’ll be mentally clogged for life. No plunger will save me.
Yep, there was a real, original article but it was clearly qualified as a fantasy fight wrote up - part of a series I believe written by the scribe in question. Another newspaper reprinted the article but left out the all important fantasy qualification - accidental or not. It read as if an authentic recollection of a real fight that had occurred between the pair.
I always had grave doubts about that rising star of the ‘60s - Sonny Solar System. All the sports writers gravitated toward him. He was supposed to be the next big thing, then, all of the sudden. he literally disappeared from the sport. Multiple reports at the time claimed that Sonny had simply burnt himself out. There was one report several years later stating that he participated in an Event at some mythical venue called the Horizon. I was never sucked in by him then and I won’t be now.
Galento and Frazier perhaps? - not within and of themselves but at least some slight levitation at the magical hands of Louis and Foreman.
