Santos Lacier had a superb defence. One of my favrouite Fly's/Super Fly's had that Argentinian defence.

Most come-forward fighters, as their style defied all those 'slick', 'swift' and 'cute' connotations that are usually with the long-range jabbers.

Both Chavez and Barrera had those tightly-knit postures that allowed them to enter slug-fests without catching too many head spinners. Chin down, high hands, small dips; good fundamentals.

Aaron Pryor had very nice defense too, considering his constant pressure style.

Henry Armstrong's abilty to crowd and slip shots on the inside was just as much of a reason why he achieved the amount of success that he did over the years as his power or workrate.

When I recently came to watching his fights against Jose Luis Ramirez I only came to the conclusion it is good I haven't watched his fights previously and that I should not watch anymore . You say Whitaker fought Delahoya ? for what ? for 7 seconds in each encounter , 2 encounters overall in a 12 rounds fight ? immediately after hearing the 10 seconds sign , I assume.

Ken Norton, he had a pretty awkward style
