Pryor is the H2H best fighter at JWW for me, Gerald is actually a strange case for myself he had it all and showed it in front of us on perfect film but you cannot help walk away from his career with very little substance in regards to his true level IMO. I was another who saw Wilder as the heir apparent for HW that was till the first Fury fight... Though i have not gave up on him and am actually banking on him going to CW believe it or not.
Yeah, it got out of hand for a while. It happens to us all. I also remember for a brief period boxing "insiders" were all excited about Jo-El Scott. Then he crashed and burned and ended up going to prison, I think.
Ricky Hatton, I thought that he would have given Floyd Mayweather Jr a tougher bout. I was dead wrong.
Adrian Dodson / Carew I saw him on a amateur show and was convinced he was going to be a superstar he looked like boxing was so easy for him and if it was just walk in the park. Very good career still but not how I thought it would be
After Lloyd Honeyghan beat Donald Curry,I was telling everyone that he was destined to be one of the best welterweights ever. Turns out he was a very good fighter rather than a great one.
Jailed for a particularly horrible **** and murder http://www.albanyweblog.com/2006/02-Feb/02-26-06_Ref_01.html A real low life and not much of a prospect anyway.
I saw an interview of Oscar Dela Hoya saying that Broner was Sweat Pea, Floyd and Oscar all in one back in 2012 and I thought it was true. Against Maidana I was sure Broner could even stop him based on the schooling Alexander gave him.
Tommy Morrison,,I was certain he would blast Mercer out as he was hittable.Tommy looked good,,,for a short while
I still think Ricky was extremely talented. Between the booze, coke and Joe Cortez, he didn't have much of a chance against Floyd. With a better head on his shoulders and a ref who would allow infighting, that would have been a great fight.
And Hatton did as well as most, exceeding how I thought he was going to perform in that fight. At the very least, unlike some who were happy going the distance and getting the LU on the record, Hatton actually did all he could to win.
