Fights You've Watched Recently

Just watched Tyson Fury vs Scott Belshaw, met Scott on Sunday, a very nice guy, he is going to be fighting in our heavy weight scene.

Watched Tommy Morrison vs Marcellus brown on Saturday and revisited Terry Norris vs Troy waters in the last week as well.

Not to mention last Sunday's amateur card live at the Bentliegh Club here in Melbourne, a cracking card with some promising up and comers on it.

 

I just watched the Morales V Maidana fight. *******.
34 yr old blown up Lt welter El terrible, what a legend. Fought 11 rounds with one eye closed & still only lost an MD.

I'm gunna dig out the Ganoy V Onekiki fight & go around again with that.
It runs second to Corrales v Castillo1 in the modern era for mine.

 

Just got my hands on Joe Frazier v Jimmy Ellis II. Fought in 1975 in St Kilda, Melbourne. Finally. I've been searching for this for years. Well worth the wait.

Back on topic, I went to Numurkah on Sunday just gone and watched the amateur show up there, we had three guys on, two wins and the last one's opponent didn't make weight (the association only allows for a 1.5 kg weight difference in the juniors). Watched some enjoyable boxing. Went to Sydney to watch the Green - Tarver fight last week, great fights, great show, I'm sure most people on here have seen it though.

 

I rewatched the 1st fight betwen Cotto & Maragrito over the weekend. Its a shame that tehre's a huge question mark on Margs hands in that one...........one hellavu tough fight.

 

razor ruddick vs mike tyson 1&2.... Mike was sharp in the buildup to too "that's real sweet make sure u kiss me with them lips" classic.

 

Possibly the best two wins on Mike's resume.

 

Corales. V Castilo. 1 was a fantastic affair ,

 

Indeed it was, a fight Hollywood couldn't have even scripted better, I think as good a fight Cotto-Margerhito was, it pales alongside Corrales-Castillo I.

 

I like Cotto v Marg also Dee but that bout is tainted , the thing with Chico v Cast 1 was it got me shouting at the telly for the first time in years mate , I still think Goosem was out if order coaching on the appron whilst replacing the gum shield the second time ( I think it was the second time ) but WHAT a fight .
