Impossible to make a prediction imo. Mormeck fought at middle as an amateur and he looks like a dwarf against Haye, Haye can punch very hard, he is young, confident etc. But he is a also a big "?"
Haye never beat anyone in the top 10 at cruiser. He was floored by a SMW. His best victories are Gurov who has always been taylor made for a puncher (it was not the first time he crumbled) and the old homer Fragomeni who had struggled to decision the fat SMW Fred Serrat. The only good boxer he fought (the old cat Thompson) stopped him ! Haye didn't look so fantastic against Fragomeni. The old italian was dominated but he was not completely under control : he was able to shorten the distance and to put his pressure from times to times...
Haye KOed Bonin and Gurov quckly. Mormeck can be KOed too but he is much more solid. No proof Haye is the better boxer, Mormeck proved he can box against technicians like Hill or Brown. What did Haye prove against good technicians ?
What will happen if Mormeck does not fall in the first rounds ? Mormeck learnt how to use dirty tactics against Bell and he won't come to lose even if he looks a bit demotivated. He said he has worked hard on his stamina with camps in the mountains and you can be sure he doesn't lie.
Many people said Mormeck took a big risk. But Haye is the guy who takes the real risk.. Mormeck wants to fight Tiozzo for a big purse next and a loss against Haye won't change anything. It's different for Haye. After the interviews he gave he has to win convincigly if he does not want his public to be disappointed.
This fight could make or break Haye. Mormeck is not a puncher and he won't KO Haye quickly, he will try to methodically destroy him, his goal will be to cut the ring to put pressure on Haye. Will he be able to tag him over his lazy left hand ?
Last thing : Giachetti is back after his heart attack, he will be in Mormeck's corner.

I am tempted to go with those who say Mormeck will play to survive in the first couple of rounds, trying to tire Haye out and go for the points win but I think he might surprise us and go full out from the bell for the KO at least in the first 2-3 rounds, hoping to stun Haye and take the wind out of his sails, banking on the points win, eventually.

...this might of course be his undoing, though, but it will put Haye on the backfoot for a little bit...Of course, if it's a war from the bell, Haye will also have a chance to drop him...this is what I am banking on...Mormeck to stun Hoye at the beginning and then Hoye to KO him sometimes before the 8th...before Mormeck can draw it out...

    ...does that sound crazy?

But Haye doesn't lack confidence...are you banking on Mormeck by T/KO?

It's entirely plausable..................but I'd like to think Mormeck takes Haye into the deeper waters late in the fight & drowns him.

Mormeck is ready for the taking, and I think Haye might just be the guy to do it. On the other hand, Haye has been taken out before by a guy who looked ready for the taking, so I can't say that I'm particularly confident.

However, although Haye may not take the greatest shot, Mormeck isn't a huge puncher, so Haye could weather the storm.

IF Haye can take Mormeck's punches, he will wear him down and stop him sometime in the middle to late rounds. But if he can't, he gets starched again.

With his chin, I don't think he has much of a future at HW even IF he gets past Mormeck.

Think Bob Foster - he'll beat some stiffs at HW, but get starched as soon as he faces anyone decent.:yep

    Im gonna say Haye KO9.

I want Mormeck to win, and I hope he pulls it out. But Haye is has great power, nice attacking approaches and hes young. Mormeck also has great power in his punches, but I think Stamina plays a role in this fight.

Hope Haye wins it but think he'll run of of steam if it goes beyond 9 rounds. Either KO5 for Haye or TKO 11 for Mormeck.
