Nice body shot from Kraus to drop Crichton in R1. Kraus needs to improve his defence though as he goes up the levels.
Kraus wins in R2. Drops Crichton again and then a 3rd time to win with a body shot. Looks a fun fighter but... he really needs to tighten up his defence. One for P Fury to sort out.
Looks like he can bang! They were raving about him on the GBM shows but that's first I've seen of him He is going to be a fun watch, very game, a bit wild, hard punching but defends with his face!
Is Mick Hennessy matchmaking for Boxxer now? This is like the fights we used to get on C5, both men just letting their hands go. Might be low quality but its a real fun watch
I suspect that Mick’s matchmaker is involved in some of these fights. On his Channel 5 shows there were very few stinkers. This is probably the best Boxxer show so far on the BBC.
I've got Bouttell winning this with 1 Round to go. If Hennessy gets the nod, then Bouttell will have been robbed. Edit - The robbery is in. Disgusting.
Ben Shalom gets a lot of stick but i really enjoyed tonights card.Elejaz v Howe and Hennessy v Bouttell were fantastic
This was a close fight i had it 96 - 94 Hennessy, but could have been scored the other way,no way was it a robbery
By robbery, I mean that the home favourite gets the nod no matter what. I personally thought that Hennessy looked laboured and sluggish. Thought the other girl, Bouttell, wanted it more and brought the fight to her. I didn't mean Robbery by a wide margin.
You kind of think this is how Boxxer makes a comeback - as a staple on terrestrial TV with the right down-to-earth UK fights. Wasserman will get fed up of Five now they're getting into bed with Netflix so two channels vying for decent UK boxing won't hurt either. The mix of "online for the undercard, terrestrial channel for the main event" is perfect in this day and age. BBC will know what it's doing with scheduling too, sticking a fight on just before Match of the Day starts, and as they showed today they'll push the life out of ordinary fighters because they can.
If you haven't got a big budget and certainly not household names way better to put on less talented but more evenly matched contests. It was a decent watch. Kraus will be in a few exciting fights, but has that kickboxer crossover trait of punching and getting caught square on, has decent power but that defence is going to get him in trouble. BUT I will look forward to his next fight, won't be boring.
I agree. He is exciting to watch but far too easy to hit. Right now his potential is around european level.
