This thread has given me a bit of confidence. I am 66kg and need to get down to 64. At the weekend I hit 64 after running both days.

My diet at the moment is as follows:
4 weetabix and a banana for breakfast with skimmed milk.
apple, pear and an orange throughout the day
Pot of pasta and a tin of tuna for lunch
    sometimes some soup
dinner is either some chicken or a shake.

What would you suggest I cut out next thursday, Friday and saturday day time?

I posted a link to a guide for wrestlers that's applicable to boxers on the last page, check that out. This link you're posting isn't saying anything.

It's inevitable that you'll get some fibre still, just google low residue foods and try to eat those.

Keep in mind that it's not a massive difference and that you still need to restrict your calories.

This sort of thing is about being at your correct weight before a fight, a lot of boxers who are very lean may fall a kilo or two above a weight class limit, and losing weight with these sort of techniques for two days before a comp isn't harmful to health. Two days of less than optimal nutrition is going to cause no damage to someone who is otherwise a healthy eater.
The idea is to lose weight gradually and effectively and maintain at your leanest level for optimal performance.
Rather than dehydrate to a large degree and/or lose muscle mass to make weight, weight cutting athletes can use a low residue diet to save a half kilo/kilo of water or muscle.
If you weigh in at your comp weight a week before then you can obviously make your weight class easily. Some people don't have that luxury and don't have anymore fat to lose while they're at the lower part of a weight class.
Use your head and think instead of trying to argue about something you obviously haven't given much thought to.

I know i walk around 1-2kg above the weight below and 2-1 kg below my current weight (the max weight). I'm going to try this technique when i have time off just to see if it works for me and how much i can lose

I did see your post ! It is why I made The comment as college wrestling has been around forever . It is also why the USA fighters are so big for there weight. As for the link not saying anything "Wrestlers can lose weight quickly by dehydrating, or “cutting water.” This method is effective to a certain extent, but it can also turn dangerous. Wrestlers who have needed to lose a lot of weight quickly have turned to extreme measures such as diuretics, laxatives, plastic suits and enemas, many of which are outlawed by the NCAA.

In 1997, three collegiate wrestlers died within a six-week span because of extreme weight-loss techniques. All three were trying to lose weight by riding stationary bikes and refusing liquids; two were wearing rubber suits. As a result, the NCAA changed its rules regarding weigh-ins. Previously wrestlers weighed in the day before the tournament started; now they weigh in just a few hours before competing, giving them less time to recover from any extreme dehydration methods they may have taken to make weight.

Part of Chris Scarlata’s job as trainer for the wrestling team is making sure that the Red wrestlers maintain weight but don’t do anything dangerous in their never-ending quest to make weight. But he says that extreme measures are rarely used among Cornell’s wrestlers." It is interesting you think this is nothing. Do you not think it is important to point out the danger of extreme weight loss? A friends boxes with MMA fighter Tim Kennedy from time to time. Tim walks around at 225lb ripped but fights at 185lb. The real answer is most Winners of big events are great at cutting weight!
