Interesting. The first taller and long armed fighter that comes to my mind is Big Daddy. (Of course the first one I'd think of would be a heavyweight like Bowe, with the myopic point of view I'm handicapped with.)

Yes well you are right, Bowe was a very big heavy with long arms yet he was very coordinated on the inside, he could rip great uppercuts. Its weird actually that by fighting like that he negated his advantages of being taller and having a pretty good jab.

But I chose to use Corrales as my example because he is closer to my size as I'm not 230 pounds. Far from it.

Lol, I watched his fight with Hagler today...not really a good lesson on how to stay on the outside. I'll give his fight with Benitez a watch. Thats a bit of a better lesson

Not a bad record. After this first fight I'm hoping to start fighting often, get some experience in. How come you haven't fought in a while?

    Good luck mate.
The first is always the worst, nerves-wise.

Zone the crowd out -make them irrelevent- Zone in and focus on every moment in there. Establish the jab... once you do, it gets easier.

    Godspeed.

yea, thanks. i lost my first three before i started winning so if things dont go according to plan, dont worry about it. keep training and work ur ass off because it pays in the end, trust me. the gym i was training at shut down cuz the guy who owned wasnt making any money, and i was try to find another place but i did some thinking and realized that i only have this summer left before i leave for the air force so i decided to quit my job and enjoy the time i have with my friends and stuff before i go. i still go to a gym to lift weights and run twice a week though just to maintain, but i do miss boxing sometimes.
