The count means nothing. Some fighters stay down and gradually rise at around 7 or 8 even if they are seriously hurt, but can still follow the count. Forrest getting up glassy eyed early made the referee make the decision early. Its the condition of the fighter when the referee assesses him that matters, not how long he took to get up.

Its more common when a fighter gets up early that he's less hurt than a fighter who doesn't beat the count or gets up late. But not always the case.

it was a bad instruction from the ref.

he just waved a finger in his face.

    i mean leave it out.

he'd just been clocked by a big punch.

he should have asked forrest to walk forward.

i reckon forrest would have responded accordingly. :yep

forrest complained about the stoppage immediately. :bart

thats because mayorgas knockout power really came from his underated speed, which he hasnt had since he left 147....

at the higher weights, where he is slower... his punches are just heavy... but not knockout types.
