You know, I am not sure what you are trying to imply here. Please explain because you are not making any sense. How is Floyd accommodating by making the cutoff date further closer to and even at the night of the fight? You are thinking in reverse here. To accommodate means to make room, concession, ad******g to Pac's terms in regards to the OSDT clause. Floyd is making it more difficult.

I'm not thinking in reverse at all or contradicting myself. You are just not looking at the two sets of talks as separate occurences. You and many others here tie them together as one continuous negotiation, when it suits your stance on the testing. It was a negotiable point the first time and not the second. Manny can only blame himself for not having the foresight to take the 14 day offer when he had the chance...if his first priority (in boxing) is truly to fight Floyd.

then you should not be saying that Floyd is accommodating Pac in regards to OSDT because having a room to negotiate cutoff dates vs having it all the way up to the fight is a complete different thing.

With that said, Floyd's action clearly shows that having an OSDT clause without room to negotiate is just a way for him to not make it happen. Since he couldn't get the higher purse split, this is Floyd's way of saying no to the fight.

The way you actually said it is a spin on trying to make it seem like it's Pac's fault for not making the fight happen. I saw this coming but just wanted to make you actually express on how you view this topic.

Floyd does not control the sport. There is a commission that does Drug testing for all fighters who fight regardless of politics. If floyd really wanted to clean up the sport, he should be out there protesting to the commissions to have them revise their methods of testing and yet, we don't see Floyd doing anything to help the sport.

With a 50 billion dollar payday for fighting Pac I bet Mayweather could help out a lot of sick kids in the world ;). Also, if he beats him he enhances his boxing legacy, and shuts people up. Hell, even if the guy loses he'll get much respect for fighting Pac.

Why are you guys acting brand new to this?

-When Mayweather first asked for OSDA it was random blood testing up to the fight. That was his original demand. At first Roach said no problem, then Roach changed his mind and stated that he would not allow Pac to be blood tested close to the fight as he didn't want it in his head close to the fight. He even stated and I quote "If you want to blame anyone for this blame me".

-Roach then asked for a 30 day cut off date. The fight was in limbo, then a report came out that Pac tested 24 days prior to the Hatton fight. So Pac's camp said that they would be willing to do 24 days prior to fight night.

-Mayweather still wanted testing up to the fight though so they go to mediation. Mayweather then proposed 14days as a final offer. Pac's camp turns that down and re offers 24days. The fight gets canceled.

-Arum then lies and says that 14days was never offer'd but was quickly exposed by one of the mediation organizers (I forget his name). Pac then goes on to fight Clottey and blood test 18 days prior to the Clottey fight.

-Mayweather goes on to fight Mosley using random blood testing up to the fight. Mayweather then states that if he fights Mosley using OSDA and defeats him and outsells Pac-Cotto. That the 14days would be taken off the table as would the 50-50 split.

-After the Mosley fight Pac offers 7 day cut off date. Arum lies again and says that he agreed to Mayweather's demands of blood testing. But didn't specify what they agreed to since he new that Mayweather took away the cut off date.

-Mayweather then says that he doesn't have his urge to fight and is going on vacation.

We are all outsiders looking in. And if the two guys reversed roles, based on the information I have up to this point, my position on this would not change. Asking for mutually applied random testing, should not have derailed the fight, in the first place. Not to mention a compromise of 14 days should have been an acceptable window, given Manny's recent offer. Manny's offer of 7 days, 1/2 a year later, after rejecting the 14 day offer tells me Manny feels the same way. It's a shame he didn't have the foresight to see this before. Instead he was content on fighting Clottey, talking about how Floyd is not the commission, and filing frivolous lawsuits.

Pac vs Clottey happened because Floyd didn't want to fight. Stop trying to spin things around. All these talks just keep coming back to Floyd as the one who really doesn't want the fight to happen.

Again...you miss the point DD. I did not say Floyd IS accomodating Manny, I said he WAS, in regards to revising his demand 3 times during the first negotiations. Following that, he stated he would do so no more. This was back in Feb., if memory serves. That was long before any other talks took place. So, he is not using that in lieu of not getting a certain purse split. It is a demand, he no longer feels is negotiable. And he clearly stated and followed up with a demonstration of that, along with Shane.

Floyd never said he controlled the sport. But, he clearly controls his own career. And, it is evident, anyone, including Manny, will have to do what he is willing to accept to make a fight with him. Otherwise, Manny should stop entertaining this as an option.

Again, Floyd's OSDT clause is a manner of saying that he does not want the fight to happen. He just didn't want to make it obvious as the guy really believes he's the greatest of all time. At first he was " accommodating " then all of a sudden he was insisting on all the way testing. I really believe that if Pac vs Cotto didn't make the amount it did, Floyd would really insist that Pac should not fight him because he's not PPV material. Now that Pac has proven that he is, Floyd has no choice but to keep holding on to OSDT crap so that the fight would not happen.

Even before the Margarito fight, Pac had already lost interest in fighting Floyd. He made that obvious in one of the 24/7 episodes. It's really that obvious that Floyd just didn't want anything to do with pac.

I can't see that being the case as Pac is the reason why he came out of retirement in the first place. If he never wanted to fight Pac he would have jumped at the opportunity to fight Mosley when Mosley ran up on him in the ring. Rather then declining Mosley and going into negotiation with Pac. Marquez was supposed to be a tune up as well as a negotiation leverage fight for Pacquiao.

At first he was accommodating because random OSDA up to the fight was new to boxing and was never performed before like this in boxing. Once the Mosley fight solidified how OSDA would be performed. Mayweather gained the data and support needed in his eyes to make it non negotiable.

Following your logic here...Pac does not want to fight either. I am not spinning anything around. Concrete laid out the facts quite nicely. My interpretation is in line with that, for the most part.
