Doesn't matter who they had #1, the fact is if they had him number 1 it shows how worthless those rating bodies are.

Ortiz was a top three guy.

    Pac was the number one.

    Just check the rankings.

Pac is the current WBO WW titleholder a belt that he has defended.

Did Floyd ever defend the title he won from Ortiz(at a time where Pac was ranked number one)?

Hes he still the holder of that title or did he vacate it to fight Cotto?

If Floyd fights Sergio at 160 he will lose via KO, it would be suicide and no way Floyd does that!!!

He hasn't been stripped. Pac was not number 1. Floyd fought Mosley who was considered #1 by RING after beating up #1 Margarito. He beat the man, so, ya know.

He could claim to being the true champ at 147, he was after beating Tata who was the true champ after beating Judah. Floyd retired and Cotto and Tony fought to become the man. Tony won and was beaten by Mosley who lost his next fight to Floyd.

    Whos number one at WW?

    Its not Floyd its Pac.

By your logic Nonito Donaire is closer than Floyd for "tying" the record of Armstrong.

All he has to do is beat Nishioka and record tied.

Mayweather is the true and lineal 147 champ, he never lost it in the ring after beating Baldomir.

Why is this hard for everyone to understand. It was re-established after Floyd and Mosley fought, too.

These kind of threads, man what can you say but Floyd gets stupid hype for things he "coulda, woulda, shoulda" done as others have mentioned...

Pac actually held titles in 3 divisions within a year and he did it three times
(130/135/140 from 2008/09, 135/140/147 in 2009, 140/147/154 from 2009/2010)..check it, probably the closest anyone will get to holding titles simultaneously in 3 different divisions these days

    Mayweather can beat Martinez.

If Mayweather can beat Martinez and Pacquiao, talk about one hell of a career.

Uhhh, no he can't? Armstrong was what? 7 weight champion? Floyd would have to win a title at 168. . . Or 175 to match PACSMASH. . .

    Floyd is a 5 weight champion: 130, 135, 140, 147, and 154. . .

    FAIL.

For the folks that claim he ducked Tszyu he called him out after the Gatti fight or one prior to that one.
