Ask the WBC they seem to bendover backwards for him. This is a guy that has been given all of his titles pretty much without a fight. Why did the WBC just hand him the title and not order him to fight for it?
Floyd is no longer relevant ....LOL...Culeno couldn't even hurt Cotto in a close fight and supposedly he will stop GGG !!!
They do bring up a good point, in my opinion though, on that 'technically', Canelo did offer Golovkin a fight that was indeed within the guidelines of a middleweight title fight. Which to me, brings up something that the sanctioning bodies need to address, and that is they probably should restrict title fights to a certain number of pounds near 160, at least for mandatories (and I don't know, maybe that's already a rule, again, they obviously didn't see Canelos offer to Golovkin as legit or else why wouldn't they tell G take the offer or you lose your position) But this situation highlights perfectly how people like Canelo, and the people on here defending these actions as legitimate (and not calling it for what it was, and that is a way out of the fight), can get away with offering supposedly legitimate offers while holding a belt, to fighters within that division that don't want (and shouldn't have to) drain themselves down to 1lb above the lower weightclass below them, to get the shot at their divisions title. Could you imagine Abraham winning a super middleweight title and then saying well if Ward wants to unify he has to fight me at 161lbs? (technically, that is super middleweight) and if you don't you are ducking me? Absolutely moronic and is exactly the same behavior that you see people in here defending lol. But again, technically they do have a point, and its something the bodies should address.
Did Canelo not offer a fight at 155 and GGG say he would only drop weight for Floyd and Pacman (fights that would never happen and GGG can not make 155 let alone 154) I don't blame GGG for not taking 155 because he's way too big to make it but I don't blame Canelo for wanting 155 because GGG is too big for him any way
But not when you are making a weight division in this case 155, inside a a division you thick mong. And as I've already said IF 164 was really thought about I wouldn't be in favour as I personally don't agree with catch weights....but you seem to do so if anything it's YOU who should not have a problem with the alleged 164...
No, he didn't. He said he'd only take the fight at 155 BEFORE he fought Cotto, there was no legitimacy to it nor any offer. I'll simplify it for you: When Canelo says weight's not the issue, It means weight demands wasn't the reason for the fight not happening.
Because, James, he was their Interim Champion, and had been so for 4 or 5 fights already. When the 'Real' Champion gives up his belt instead of facing that sanctioning bodies interim champion, the title doesn't become vacant and then theres a box off for it, it goes directly to the interim champion. That's the point of fighters positioning themselves to become Interim Champions in the first place.
Hey I've got more likes in this thread topic alone than you've had in the last 12 months you joke..... Caneloweight.....LOL.
That's a very balanced way of looking at it,too many fans swing one way or the other without thinking?
Yeah he does but he also said Brooks corner should of let him carry on as he thought Brook was winning lol?
