Middleweight is a marquee division. Who was Cotto ever ducked by? He got every fight he ever wanted so that diva is a terrible example to use.

Martinez got his shots a lot earlier without facing a murderers row at middleweight or the hardest run of fights at 154. He wasn't shut out from getting his shot and then chased Chavez Jr. for a middlewight fight in a pretty similar way to Golovkin has chased the reluctant Canelo. He then sold his title to Cotto for a pension.

Pirog was injured and the last two lineal champs - three if you count Canelo vacating his belt - haven't wanted any of him.

Jacobs has been publicly shamed into fighting him after putting his mandatory challenge off as long as possible, BJS has been inactive and reluctant to do anything other than rant on Twitter and Eubank lost his pen.

Pirog was injured, Sturm and Quillin shameless cowards and the rest bang average fighters lucky to be given title shots because of the others behaviour.

The funny thing is I agree GGG is relatively untested at the top level, I just think that's largely the fault of his fellow middleweights buying into the hype.

He got every fight he wanted because of what he did in the ring, not because he's a "diva". No offense to you personally, but the majority(95%) of Golovkin fans have been starting this diva nonsense about a man that gave his all in the ring and entertained every single time he stepped into that ring. These same fans are the idiots that are deceived by Golovkin and his team. The real diva here is the man stacking up bums and crying for a free payday.

Are you seriously comparing Martinez chasing after Chavez Jr. to Golovkin chasing after Cotto?, this is some serious stupidity here if so and that type of stupidity is one I'm used to from the majority of this hype job's fan base. When Martinez chased after Chavez, he already had fights and wins over the likes of Pavlik and Williams. Golovkin was chasing after Cotto with a ticket that says "I just went into the arena as a 1/200 favorite against a tomato can, can I kindly beg you for a payday?".

His fellow Middleweights?, who?. Alvarez?. Was Alvarez' last fight at Middleweight?. If tomato cans have no issues fighting him, then the big names will have no issues either once he makes it to their level the same way they did. For now though, he can fight the tomato cans that are on his level.

No, it's better that he stays at Middleweight and fight the likes of Jacobs. He has scrubs like you cheering him on for it, so why not?. Now kindly get the f out of my face. You're far too autistic to think properly.

Floyd was a great fighter but I'm not checking hi opinion on ... anything.

Even on boxing, which he should be an expert on, when he predicted that Devon Alexander would be the P4P king for years.

As ever, regardless of their greatness, don't bank on an opinion from someone who gets punched in the face for a living.

Sound, yet for an enlightened boxing prophet you are you have avoided explaining how Alfredo Angulo and Austin Trout are so far superior to Golovkin's resume.

You won't though because you damned well know they aren't you muppet.

Cotto is a diva. He was well managed early on his career, winning pretty much all of his titles whilst vacant and losing to nearly every top level fighter faced. His career whilst enjoyable isn't quite what his fanboys would have you believe. He's also earned a ton over the course of his career yet still ducked the number one guy in his division after he won the lineal title.

Yes, he's had a career more impressive than GGG but not by as much as you might think.

And GGG wants the Canelo payday just as much as Martinez wanted the Chavez payday. Golovkin doesn't have wins over Pirog - he may have lost that fight - Quillin, Sturm, Saunders etc. because of them. He wiped out the level below. What more could he do to earn a fight with these guys?

And don't bother with the Canelo isn't a middleweight BS. He's the current lineal MW champ who defended the WBC middleweight champ. That's not up for debate.

Floyd is a natural 135-140lber it's undisputed these are his best fighting weights where he looked exceptional.

His wins at welter/jr middleweight are so great because he's fighting against mostly naturally bigger guys (there are exceptions eg Pacman who is a natural 122-126lber bulked up).

GGG lives the life of a monk and still comes in the ring at 180lbs ffs.

He's naturally 20-25lbs bigger than Floyd minimum. Realistically its bigger because GGG only fights at 160 for the money he'd be a big 168 lber. In fact I personally believe he would be a better 168lber!!!

168 has harder fights for less money, if the money was at 168 or 175 do you honestly think he would be at 160?

GGG had a big money fight with Canelo at 155 with a great split but he didn't take it because he can't physically make 155 he's a massive 160lber.

    Floyd @ 147 = GGG@ 185

Floyd is a smaller welterweight than GGG would be at lightheavy

Even if we use fight night weights listed (which are bogus as f) its the same

GGG 170-173 (realistically 180-185 living the life of a monk)
Floyd 148-153 (realistically 160-165 bulked up)

I personally rate a Jacobs win as greater than a Canelo win (aka a Floyd left over)

That's a load of garbage about Cotto. If you didn't exist back when he was rising in the ranks, that's your problem. Those of us that were here and following know exactly how he got there and it sure as hell wasn't because he was well managed. Considering you're a Golovkin fan, I'll excuse your idiocy as it seems to be a natural trait among Golovkin followers.

He had a career more impressive than Golovkin but not by much!?. Okay, I'm done discussing with you. You sir, are an idiot.

For the record, Cotto has had tune-ups against opponents of higher caliber and class than Golovkin's entire pathetic tomato can infested career.

To be fair man, Mr Beard has a point. 168 may well be worse than 160. 175 is a step too far for his frame and style. If GGG had came along in the early-mid 90's we would have been in for some fireworks. Imagine GGG vs G-man or Benn or Jackson or Toney. He should give 160 another year or so and then move up and fight the best guy at 168. He's way too small for 175. Plus, I think people are overlooking the Canelo fight. The guy can fight and looks a natural 160 pounder to me.
