Any one who has followed the sport for longer than Maywweather vs De La Hoya, would know that Winky was notorious for turning down fights because of the money.

With that said, Floyd had no say in negotiations at that time, it was all Bob Arum. IMO Bob Arum was just using false negotiation tactics against a dangerous, top P4P, avoided 154 champion in Winky Wright to big up his own fighter, Floyd Mayweather Jr as a guy who would take on all comers at any weight class. Bob Arum had no real intentions of putting a small 140 pound Floyd Mayweather in the ring with a prime Winky Wright. Regardless, Floyd was with it, but that would have been a highly dangerous and stupid move by Arum. Does this sound familiar? Arum did the same exact thing with Margarito, Cotto and Pacquiao, this time using Floyd Mayweather Jr, but he really had no real intentions of making those fights happened. It was simply promoting tactics to big up his fighters.

Offered Arum a contract for Margarito and Cotto, would have probably fought Clottey to, all Arum had to do was accept his purses request and offer DLH.

Not to mention Margarito, Cotto, Pac all turned down offers from Mayweather to fight at one point from 140-147.

Williams lost to Quintana and moved up to JMW don't think Mayweather cared enough about Williams at that point to chase him. Clottey didn't bring anything to the table, not resume, legacy, or money. D

So at the end of the day you are cool with Wright fighting a Jr WW at Jr Mw. And calling it a road block because he requested more money. :tired

There was no need for the fight to happen, nobody was demanding it. But It was one of the reasons why Mayweather started to want to leave Arum as he couldn't land him high profile fights.

Floyd aint ****. He's just a rich coward. Pacquaio fought the best. Floyd lost to Castillo and pacquaio was fighter of the decade neca.

Floyd also cheated against Marquez.
