Floyd's attitude may annoy and alienate the vast majority of boxing fans, but the bottom line is that the guy is the best. Period. If they ever meet in the ring, Cotto will be outboxed and outclassed. And that's no slight to Cotto, who's a very good fighter. But Mayweather is simply the best there is, a once-in-a-generation kind of fighter.

Why doesn't he want to fight Cotto then? I am tired of hearing this non-sense excuses of Cotto not selling tickets... If Mayweather steps up and takes this fight every boxing fan in this galaxy will be more than willing to pay $70.00 for this Pay-Per-View. There's no need for an undercard... Mayweather would easily top th $20 Million plateu again, and Cotto would settle for $10 or $12 Million himself. This would become the fight of the Century!!

    It takes two to tango.

And when your promoter/manager is Bob Arum - it actually takes 3.

It's not all Floyd. Straight up.

FLoyd said on ESPN that he would love to fight Cotto ... and if it benefits him in anyway ... you never heard of FLoyd turning down a fight that benefits him ... rather it be his pockets or legacy.

The fight will happen ... Floyd isn't going to go back on his word ...

FLoyd was willing to fight Cotto back in 05 ... when they both were at 140 lbs ...

but Arum and team Cotto declined ... Cotto was 25 and 4yrs in the game and a championship on his resume ... there wasn't any reason why he couldn't have fought Floyd.

Not much has changed since then ... now what makes you think that Floyd don't want to fight him now ... if he called him out back in 05 when he fought Gatti?

Arum is on some bull**** ...

Floyd will fight Cotto ... i'm sure if Floyd was offered 25-30m he would fight Kelly Pavlik.

I would guess that this fight is going to happen -so long as Cotto survives Margarito, which is no sure thing. Cotto-Mayweather will likely follow Mayweather-DLH, unless DLH wins, of course. There's really no one left for Mayweather to fight with the big-money, big-name prestige after DLH. And he's too young and too much of an ego-maniac to retire. So that's when he'll face Cotto. IMHO.

floyd's word is **** he is a liar. He told everyone he made 20 mil for his wrestling stunt when he acturally made about 10% of that. If you beleive what comes out of his stupid mouth that says alot about your IQ. -

Cotto is a talent. But to say he can beat Mayweather makes no sense. The only type fighter has even an ounce of trouble with is quick, slick boxer types (ie Judah). Straight forward, slow punchers, Mayweather has a field day with (ie Hatton, Gatti, Baldomir). You are out of your mind. How could you be a real boxing fan and not note that those kind of details? Tell me how Cotto would do it. Explain to me the fight.

**** if Floyd took on & somehow beat Pavlik...imagine where he would be ranked in the history of boxing.
    Would be very damn high.

Dude... Have you not been paying attention to Cotto's jab... Oh, right!! It's too fast and quick for you to see... Cotto can box and is faster than what his bulky and compact build reflects... Just ask Mosley how much does Cotto's jab hurt. Gatti landed some hooks and uppers to Gomez's face... Cotto knocked him down with a Jab... That's the type of pop he carries in his punches.
