ppl need to look at this. All this talk about Floyd being scared and Cotto being non-deserving is NORMAL, as is the fact that the fight is not happening right now.

Because there the only 2 who can beat eachother right now. There head, and shoulder above the rest of the division. Besides the fact that a lot of people WANT floyd to lose, and Cotto seems to be the only one who is able to do it.
Oh, and as for the comment about Lewis *supposedly* ducking Wlad before he got knocked out by Sanders. WELL, Vitali fought Lewis, and pretty much beating him/ would have beaten him til that stupid cut over the eye stopped the fight. Lewis looked horrible....Lewis talked some smack after the match, but never fought again. You wouldn't call that being a ducker??? To retire in disputed fashion? Not to say he was ducking Wlad necessarily, but pointing out he probably was since he was a DUCKER.

I am so tired of everyone thinking boxers owe us something...floyd is looking for the most money...and in 2008 it is dlh 2...he isn't concerned with what us fans want to see...and that's what any of us would do if we were in his shoes...no one would take a job for 5 dollars when they can do the same job and with more ease dor 10 dollars...in the year 2009 when cotto is still undefeated off his wins this year the match will happen...by that time cotto will have an even bigger fanbase...and the money WILL be there for floyd...floyd is just doin what anyone is doin right now...following the money...and when that money is right with cotto, the fight will happen...and it'll be a goody

 

Bull****, if DLH was in his prime, PBF would've never went after him. Yes, money was a big factor, but the fact that Oscar is not the same fighter is the bigger factor and the only reason why this joke of a rematch is happening. Cotto will start looking very attractive to Floyd once Miguel loses or get "exposed", which won't happen. Floyd won't fight the current champ or any top 147 fighter at their best...they will have to be past their prime or out of their weight class.

 

whats wrong with cotto fighting whoever is put in front of him? i dont understand. hes not calling out mayweather, so waht, thats not his style. hes fought tougher competition than anyone out there but mayweather. thats because he does no talking he does no negotiating, thats not his job. his job is to FIGHT. he doesnt have to control his career, he is here to fight for us, entertain us, we control his career almost as much as the promoter. he just goes in and fights. theres nothing wrong with cotto at all and thers nothing wrong with mayweather. if you **** on cotto you cant be a boxing fan. he is a true throw back. he fights ANYONE. if mayweather said he wanted to fight cotto today and arum agreed, cotto would be fighting maywather for wahtever price mayweather wanted.

 

Cotto should be calling out Floyd (Champion) not the other way around.

 

What difrence does it make who calls out who at this stage ..Its up to these two to get together and get this fight done ..I think the problem lies with Arum and Mw's history more so than MW and Cotto themselves .
