Your opinion of the fighters doesn't really matter, especially coming from a nuthugger who has poor knowledge when it comes to boxing. Pavlik beating Taylor and being considered #1 is fair but Mayweather beating Baldomir isn't, hypocrit.

Clottey, Berto and Margarito AREN'T worth mentioning. They're decent fighters but not what Floyd is looking for at this stage of his career. You know you're desperate for names when you add Clottey and Berto to that list.

A fight with Mosley was called for, Mosley didn't want that fight to allow DLH to get it instead. Margarito lost to Williams and already has 5 losses in his record with the sixth coming soon, Williams' loss to Quintana lost him a lot of credibility till he avenged that loss. The only one worth fighting and only one that can make a mega-fight(what Mayweather only seeks these days) is Cotto.

He has been P4P#1 for YEARS, don't really think he's pissed about that and him announcing his retirement was what pushed him out of the last list and boosted Pac to #1, Pac didn't really push Mayweather to #2 for him to be pissed. :deal

When Mayweather retired he didn't expect his name to remain in that list, do you think he did?

Explain to me how Clotty, Berto, Margarito r not morth mentioning. I confused berto is undefeated and holds the wbc belt. Margarito is the toughtest sob in the world and he is a two time champion. Williams is very fast hits hard and is 6 foot 2inchs and and holds teh wbo belt. Clotty is superfast has great combinations and has heart. Clotty is very underated and u will c that when he destroyes judah.

I know all of that about Clottey, you're not telling me anything I don't know. You're the one missing the point here, for Floyd right now it's all about major fights and those guys DON'T offer that nor the money Floyd is looking for, Cotto does and also offers an undefeated record, a vicious style and a serious threat in terms of everything. Berto is unproven, Margarito lost to Williams and his only two major victories are over Cintron, Williams' only major win is Margarito and already lost to Quintana till that loss was avenged. Those wins WON'T give Floyd the type of credit/money/recognition he seeks at this point, yes they are good fighters I'm NOT denying that but not what Floyd is looking for. Also, Floyd wasn't considered just a champion in the division he was already considered the undisputed champion, so he had the right to pick the best opponent in that division without the need to follow everyone and that man is Cotto.

so in terms of quality and interest you dont see Calzaghe vs Dawson or Tarver as a standout fight or Pavlik at 168?

You will allow this guy to prove nothing and retire with all the questions about ducking and losing and are ready to sanctify the guy.

How little you expect from your heroes. This guy is no better than Maywether albeit with half the talent.

The man can do as he pleases. But he should not be rated alongside men who are greater, ones who took the challenges and fought their hearts out against the very best and proved they were the best of their generation. Men like Duran, Hearns, leanord, Arguello, Paquiao.

There are just too many questions about this mans career, the ducking the continuous avoidance of competition. The dismal performance againts BHOP. You coronate him Saint Joe but you knock Mayweather I find this very biased and self serving. Total Hypocrisy, if anything Mayweather has taken the greater challenges between the two. He is far and away greater in every aspect than Calzaghe. The one thing they have in common is obviously ducking the dangerous fights.

I truly despise Mayweather the only difference is he gets ripped on here we make sure of that and he is truly skilled.

while Calzaghe fans pump ther man in the face of the obvious

Why can't people let him retire in peace?

Anybody else in any other job can retire, why not boxing?

Who cares.. He's retired and I would like it if it stayed that way.. As much as I wanted him to fight Cotto, it didn't happen.. He retired which left doubt on his part and I don't care anymore..

He wouldn't be so criticized if he had fought Cotto, but now he's pissed because he isn't in the spotlight no more.. He claimed to be the greatest, retired undefeated, and he still doesn't get the recognition he wants.. Yes, he was very talented, but he did not fight the best at 147.. He fared well in the lower divisions, but not 147..
