like when floyd called retirement after the baldo fight :deal :deal just to avoid the real threats...... only to fight oscar 7 months later and then call retirements again..... only to fight ricky hatton another 7 months later :deal :deal :deal :deal
I'm a massive floyd fan but love cotto and give him a great chance of beating floyd, couldn't be bothered reading any of the rest of your point after reading that all floyd fans hate the rest of his possible oppenents, your talking crap
Gatti, Baldo, Judah, Hatton and even Mitchell were all considered "real threats" before Mayweather fought them. Only after the fights were over did they become nobody's. :-(
Stop saying stuff like this you know they always refuse to acknowlege it.atsch The truth is a fight with Cotto could have happened in 2005. Cotto and Hatton both sat ringside at the PBF-Gatti fight and after the demolition job PBF put on Gatti neither wanted a piece of him back then.:deal But for some strange reason the blame for fights not happening is always put on PBF.:-(
really the only one i gave a chance to was judah....and he gave floyd a run for his money and even dropped him.....i'll give him props for judah, but everyone else....no mitchell :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl
:huh Yeah we are talking April of 2006 floyd and Oscar fought in May of 2007.... He just finished fighting Zab Judah! went on to earn his 8 million to fight Baldomir the linear champ! and then secure a 20 million dollar pay day... he was averaging over 300k pay per view buys and his fight with Baldo was the lowest at 325k buys out of his last 4 fights up to that point. It was followed up with a record breaking pay per view fight with DLH... So him filling seats was not the problem
Exactly what I was talking about earlier. I remember before the Gatti fight that most here picked Gatti to KO PBF as soon as PBF gave him a boxing lesson he was washed up. Before Judah lost to Baldo it was the voted here as the fight that most wanted to see and how jab would give him fits, once again many picked Judah to beat him. PBF wins and he was never any good but magically after Cotto beats him it's a great win.:-(
I wish I could bump the thread but it was lost in the crash. Many people picked Gatti to win and there was even a poll. So laugh all you want I know what happened here.:hi:
By the way Freddy Mayweather vs. Judah occurred in front of a near sell out crowd of over 15k.... So this filling seats **** you brought up is confusing me... Mayweather did not have a problem filling seats in 2006...
You'll be waiting all day for that one...don't hold your breath.:good Not to mention PBF-Zab did more buys than Cotto-Zab.
Lets look at this from all three sides..and come to a conclusion.. first side...Floyd lovers...Floyd doesn't have to fight anybody he doesn't want to because he's already proven he's the best. second side.....Floyd has had a perfectly orchestrated career and really is over rated. third side (my side by the way)...Floyd IS the best, but he's ripping off boxing fans by avoiding the most potentially interesting fights while arrogently shooting his mouth off and being obnoxious just like Roy Jones did. So...Floyd lovers are happy just to see him do anything Floyd haters are happy to critisize no matter what he accomplishes Boxing fans are getting ripped off because the best fighter in the world refuses to perform against any potential danger (which is what makes boxing fun and interesting.) In conclusion....Floyd is a reincarnation of Roy Jones, who like Roy, will ultimatly be remembered as the guy who ducked his leading contenders and was just a big mouth.
